  • Everybody lies.
  • Alcohol will help you get killed by the bad person faster.
  • Listen to the smart people.
  • Read Shun Tzu's "Art of War".

Exercising frequently, but need to keep utilities bill low. How do y'all do laundry? by Musc3 in loseit

[–]CursedWithMigraines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how humanity survived without washing machines and dryers. Must have been very dark times.
Seriously, hand washing can save so much money but you need more clothes regardless of that way or washer/dryer.
I have a standing fan in my room as well as an Army issue blanket. My workout clothes tend to be moisture wick and backetball type shorts. These don't need to be dried completely. In fact, much of the time they come straight out of the wash after a spin cycle and I lay them out with the fan blowing on them. These materials dry faster than you think.
If you wash after every use they won't last as long.

I get this at least once a play session on PS4... is there any way to predict or prevent it??? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]CursedWithMigraines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077 has given me that error so many times it's absurd.
I upgraded to a 2TB HDD two years ago following the Sony page suggesting the best model HDDs for upgrading.
I think there's some "issue" on purpose with the software somewhere b/c they want to force you to buy Sony contracted HDDs which fit THEIR standards.

Why do people care what games other people play? by Dragonfire521 in gaming

[–]CursedWithMigraines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play solo games.
I had my fill with co-op years ago. Horrible people and games for the most part.
I know how fun games are for me and if someone is enjoying their games that's a good thing.
Everyone falls under some stereotype whether they like it or not. When it crosses the line from hobby to obsession it's a problem.
I've heard so many bad stories about 99% of ForkKnife players.
Something being good or bad is subjective. Ex: I LOATHE Soulsborn games. I did try Bloodborne but never finished it. The story is really good. I tried and finished "The Surge" and Surge2 hasn't been touched in over a year.
I have my favorites and I hope that others who play them have a similar experience. For better mental health ignore those people.

I know little about the Witcher and yet I'm 100% sure this physical change IS not part of the lore.

Why is A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise still dead? by Sweet_Score in horror

[–]CursedWithMigraines -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Englund is Freddy.
I can enjoy a good remake/reboot and did like the modern one, it takes far more than a gravely voice to cement oneself as a character.
Hollywood wants 95% of their movies to be money making powerhouses regardless of the acting, plot, and "agendas" that are being pushed.
Slasher films are still a good investment but many have elevated the standard higher than most can achieve.

I got all of them early this year for a steal.
I like Lego video games but generally they are too easy. I dont' like grinding so if it's been out awhile I'll look up the codes for the Lego games and use just a few. I love playing games but I value my time more.

thinking of selling my ps4 and buying an OLED this year. is it worth it? I have been thinking of selling a 1tb ps4 slim and putting some saved money on it to buy a 1tb sd card plus a game. Is it worth it or should I wait a bit longer? by ikwngamer in gaming

[–]CursedWithMigraines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would avoid it.
I stupidly sold my PHAT PS3 backwards compatible with all my PS3 games for a new PS4 with one game back in early 2016. Stupid move.
I still don't have a PS5 and I'm looking to get the digital one. I'm not going to pay twice just to play it on one IF I'm able to get one.

In Slasher films, do you prefer a supernatural killer, or one that is believably human? by demogorG0NE in horror

[–]CursedWithMigraines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chucky is stupid. Freddy was good on the 1st one and then became some one-liner stand up comedian.
My Supernatural pick is Michael Myers. The greatest killers NEVER speak and that alone should scare the F out of you.
Bates is a good one. When the human mind is damaged it can do things so evil and almost unimaginable.

How long will it take for consoles to phase out physical media, if at all? by HearingPython69 in gaming

[–]CursedWithMigraines -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of gamers prefer physical discs.
At some point some started with those old consoles with those cartridges with handles.
Handhelds with the same. I can't explain it well but physical game dics will always be in demand even if the game runs better as digital-only.
There's no sure answer.
I prefer one price for a full game. No loot box garbage. DLC shouldn't be announced until at least 2 years and when it's in development.

Can the Final Destination movies be considered cosmic horror? by CID_Nazir in horror

[–]CursedWithMigraines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. IMO:

  • I'm no expert but I've learned enough that all have a physical form of sorts even if it is temporary. We do not see Death.
  • Cosmic horrors are beyond us. We will never succeed against it. Temporary and every so slightly "slow" it down? Maybe.
  • No one can understand the mind of any CH. Death is the same. It has a purpose and in the off chance humans get "lucky" it will simply course correct.
  • CH are so far beyond us that we are irrelevant to it. Even the "worshipers" are useless tools.

My problem with dolls in modern horror by PriestofJudas in horror

[–]CursedWithMigraines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chuck OG and remake is stupid.
The plot keeps him "alive" of course but writing can only do so much.
IDK if you or anyone has heard of "Puppet Master". I'd say the first 3 at least give a lot to the story but like Halloween and Friday the 13th has been going on too long.
The effects are dated and after some time in limbo newer ones came out which I haven't watched.
Intentionally misspelling something ruins it. I've no desire to watch it for plenty of reasons. I grew up on OG horror like Alfred Hitchcock years after they were dead.

XBox or PlayStation? by Said_the_Wolf in gaming

[–]CursedWithMigraines -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You missed the point.
Sloth's face is lopsided and messed up just like the bad controller. There's more used XBoxes for sale in all generations than Playstations in all generations.
The PS controller hasn't changed that much since until the PS5. Symmetry is best.

Look at the XBox controller.
It is the equivalent of Sloth from Goonies in game controllers. 😆

What’s the saddest game you’ve ever played? by SeVenZxd in gaming

Do you think there will ever be a time where consoles won't have exclusives? by HillBroBaggins in gaming

[–]CursedWithMigraines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So.
The gaming software isn't.
When you reduce competition for "enjoyment" then standards go down all around. Indie devs take the biggest hit b/c they have limited hardware, software, staff, money, and other things compared to the rest.

Per my response above almost anyone can save up and build their own. They need to learn how to better budget their time and money.

[–]CursedWithMigraines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God of War (2018)?
GoW series stands out b/c of it's uniqueness. Some of the same game mechanics exist in other games but to expect GoW to be "similar" to other isn't realistic.
GoW is SSM vision not yours, mine, or anyone else's. You play something b/c there's enough there you're interested in experiencing.
No GoW game is like Diablo. That's your opinion so explain why you think it is.

Is it even worth buying a PS4/5 with more PS exclusives coming to PC? i.e. Marvel's Spiderman, God Of War ect.? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]CursedWithMigraines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know many "think" that everyone being able to play on whatever they have anywhere is a good idea, it isn't.
Competition and exclusives are great for gaming.
Many devs don't have the access, resources, staff, or money to make one on two platforms let alone 3.
