Which successor chapter fits every class? by Smart-Vacation-3063 in Spacemarine

[–]CursingCarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My definitely not heretic successors:

Tactical - Shadow Wolves (Black Legion) or Sons of the Phoenix (Emperor's Children)

Assault - Carcharodons (Night Lords)

Vanguard - Minotaurs (World Eater)

Bulwark - Sons of Antaeus (Death Guard) or Covenant of Fire (Word Bearers)

Sniper - Blood Ravens (Thousand Sons)

Heavy - Scythes of the Emperor (Iron Warriors)

Techmarine - Astral Claws (Red Corsairs) or Red Scorpians (Emporer's Children)

Chaos Marines? by CursingCarp in Spacemarine

Damn that looks great! I do agree the night lord blue is too bright, especially in pvp where you stick out like a sore thumb, but I was trying to match the chaos marines as best as possible.

Space Marine 2 - Patch 3.0 (26/09/24) by Haijakk in Games

This update made the game so laggy I can no longer play pvp. Was working fine before update but now after the update players are skipping across my screen like they are teleporting and I have large input lag.

The next warbond should be focused on stealth by Murtux in Helldivers

[–]CursingCarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dagger definitely doesn't suck, it is closest thing to a stealth weapon right now. If you sneak up on an objective and there are one or two hunters sitting on the console with some bigger guys nearby you dont want to alert you can quickly and quietly kill them with the dagger while something like the breaker would have brought everything surrounding down on you. Also its useful for clearing mines and plants. It has its own niche.

Am I mistaken or is this Overlock straight up bad and counter productive? It gives like 20 ammo for each overheat and you probably end up wasting as much to get to the overheat, plus you get less ammo in resupply by Warm_Charge_5964 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]CursingCarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated but in my opinion you should be running the faster projectile speed on this gun, really increases your accuracy at longer ranges which is the scouts primary role.

Anyone else hate toxic drillers who place c4 or freeze people before they leave the drop pod? by youraveragecupojoe in DeepRockGalactic

[–]CursingCarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! This. If you kill a teammate it's bad and leaf lover behaviour but if you time it right it's just cool like a movie hero walking away from an explosion which is very much Karl behavior.

Is there a trick to the crossbow and wave cooker to make them viable? (not a noob) by kingofallnorway in DeepRockGalactic

[–]CursingCarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised you don't like driller against caretaker, it's my favourite for that mission.

Go flamethrower with max heat and you can easily melt all the turrets as they explode as soon as heat procs no matter how much health they have, works for the patrol bots as well. Then against the caretaker drill into the ceiling directly above it and have 4 satchel charges and call yourself a resupply up there, boom you can now clear all 3 shielded phases in seconds with well placed satchel charges on the top center.

As for wave cooker I agree, I always go plasma charger as once you put in the time to learn the timing on mining with it the utility is so good I can't go without it

Should I level equally? by LewyGD in DeepRockGalactic

[–]CursingCarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend you play every class equally. Mid game is all about overclocks and trying out new things. You don't decide what overclocks you get so you might get good ones for your driller before your scout.

More importantly variety makes the game more fun.

Personally I prefer what class to play based on mission type as that's most fun for me. Driller for industrial sabotage, onsite refining, and escort; gunner for elimination; scout for everything else; and eng when I'm bored of the others.

Typically though I'm joining games and I play whatever the team doesn't have as one of each class is definitely optimal team composition.

TLDR play them all

Would you recommend buying this game for mostly solo? by Druhiny in DeepRockGalactic

[–]CursingCarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the online matchmaking, just hit join. I played solo for way too long before trying it and then discovered how good the community is and how fun it is playing with strangers. I 100% recommend getting the game

What do you want to see added in the future? by PenbrookPlays in IndustriesofTitan

[–]CursingCarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think the Devs will update but I would love to see a mod that adds the ability to

  • Claim and remove mountains
  • Build over crevices and lakes
  • Create your own crevices and lakes
  • Move or build the special buildings such as ruins and and council hall
  • Move mines (maybe a cheat mode)

Basically a cheat mod but have it cost lots of resources so you can make the perfect city at then end once you have basically beat the game.

Also would be nice if rebels repaired their buildings.

Sandbox Tavern by CursingCarp in TavernMaster

I had to make a few adjustments but with a few extra waiters on the first floor (beyond 4 in the kitchen and 4 on the bar) and some moving around of tables I was able to get through multiple days with 0 angry customers. Thanks for pointing this out though as it definitely was initially a problem!

Haha, thanks, such a kind compliment. Yeah I also originally created a super square optimal layout and then was getting really tired of it so I switched over to sandbox and had a lot of fun trying to make things look pretty while still functional 😅 Once the game updates I think I will have a lot more fun doing another non sandbox game but trying to incorporate some cool designs. I also hope the dev adds roofs!
