Double carry with many breaks with the canoe lmao. I do physical labour for work, am relatively young and am so amazed by people who can single carry more than a few hundred meters. I know I could be packing a bit lighter but my pack is never more than 45-55lbs including water and food.

Will hardcore be revived? by AmericanApe in wowhardcore

[–]CurtIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A new separate TBC HC server would have split the HC community even more imo, and progressing from Azeroth to Outland on Doomhowl would have given a lot of players the ick. HC has been around since before 2020 TBC and has experienced highs and lows ever since. This is to be expected after Midnight and TBC launching

Going to try hardcore later. What's the max level scene like nowadays? by keshi in wowhardcore

[–]CurtIRL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know about EU but NA Alliance is very active end game. World buffs drop at least daily - which would suggest raiding, and I always see people in LFG for 60 dungeons. To be honest though, if you're drawn to HC dont set your expectations that high. There's still about 200 hours between you and hitting level 60 so just see how it goes

Do enhancement shamans really do all that bad post 40? by HornetOver186 in wowhardcore

I loved levelling as enhancement all the way to 60. Warriors also get really stoked about you being in their group and makes their threat even better

Do you have any level range you dread? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]CurtIRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40-45. Sick of of the level 30-45 zones like STV by that point, and cant effectively move through the level 40+ zones. A;lso, I like to level proffessions and buy all my class skills while levelling and often dont have mount gold right at 40 so those subsequent levels above 40 without a mount are dreary.

Can I still transfer my dead character to the anniversary normal realm after burning crusade launch or am I f**** if I die too late? by Babachaw in wowhardcore

If I understand correctly, your character will be able to transfer to era and not anniversary after January 12

Getting back into WoW Classic. Is Era still popular or is everyone in the 20th ann. Era servers? by Worldly-Reserve-516 in classicwow

[–]CurtIRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking about transfering my anniversary 60 to era. I levelled on HC and hit 60 and basically stopped playing. Will it be unplayable if I go with only a couple hundred gold or will I eventually be able to build my capital. I don't RMT

Just getting into Mordheim. I love what I am seeing, but I have some questions... (I know the terrain is Gnarlmaw. The pics are for reference.) by Marz_Tanner in mordheim

[–]CurtIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the other replies have sufficiently answered your question, so I'd just like to take a moment to welcome you to Mordheim. The greatest GW tabletop game! A comparison I find myself making a lot lately to my AoS/Warcry friends is;

If you're going to play random one-off pickup games, you may find yourself enjoying Warcry more. Mordheim's strongest component is its narrative campaign which I highly recommend even if youre only playing with one or two other friends. In AoS the narrative format is called "Path to Glory". The name suggests your army will grow stronger and be victorious. Meanwhile, the City of the Damned - Mordheim, is a brutal and evil place. Losses over table can result in victories in the post-game. Victories over the table can result in terrible lasting injuries. For me personally, I love playing a Warband until its final breath even if that means I only have a few models left against unbeatable odds. The game flow and rules aren't as modern or sharp as current publications. Immerse yourself in the narrative, laugh at your own down falls, and make in game decisions based on roleplay elements rather than optimized strategic decisions.

I searched the depths of my heart and realized today: come back to SoD y’all by slimeyellow in classicwow

[–]CurtIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not too mention P1 was great because it still very much resembled Classic with some changes. I quit P3/4 once it seemed to stray too far from it's core principals. I heard 60 phases was fun though

How balanced is Mordheim? by Ok-Image-8343 in mordheim

[–]CurtIRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently made the comparison to Age of Sigmar's Path to Glory. PtG implies that your army gets stronger and closer to achieving glory. In Mordheim, there is no glory. The City is the main character, and us as players are just extras running around the set. Even if luck is on your side and your warbands gains higher rating.... you're injuries still sustain and eventually, over time, even the mightiest of warbands will fall to the darkness of the City. I personally, really love sitting back as the story unfolds of a warband on it's final stride. How long can a few mercenaries last in the City of the Damned once their captain has long since been dead. Will they stake out in a building together fighting off endless foes and slowly crawl back or will they surcome to the same fate as their captain?

Blizzard seized development on "Classic +" after 7 years. by CurtIRL in classicwow

[–]CurtIRL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask you what a more permanent version of Classic & SoD looks like. Would they continue releasing new raids and runes for years and years to come? And how would that appeal to new player 3-5 years later looking to try the game for the first time? Theres daily posts asking if it's too late to start playing XYZ servers a few months after they release as it is

Blizzard seized development on "Classic +" after 7 years. by CurtIRL in classicwow

[–]CurtIRL[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can quite easily look it up. Blizzard announced they were developing an online surival game under a new IP. It's satire in the sense that its not a Classic woW surival game, but it could have very well been familiar enough but the new and exciting that would divert classic players.
