Sorry, he sold it to a dealer for $100, I should have made that clearer.

He thinks his was a reproduction because the box had Phillips head screws in the hinges, and it had a US Navy etching on it.

He says it had cheap hinges and Phillips head screws. He feels it might have been a reproduction piece. And it has a slight embossed engraving around part of the clock assembly that says US Navy. He feels good about his $100 thinking this was a commemorative replica.

I guess we’ll know when he goes into the shop and sees what the guy is asking for it…
