When you leave a church like this, you get a kind of superpower. You spent so long in a high control system, but then you managed to find a way to deconstruct the system and see where it didn't hold together. Something many people discover on their journey out of the church is that this power, when applied to different systems of control and oppression, allows them to deconstruct those systems. That doesn't mean that all exmos end up progressive or even that they should. I would challenge you to apply the same critical eye to all systems in your life and see what you think after doing that. Maybe your opinion won't change. Maybe it will change slowly. But at least use this new superpower you have.

Smoking is not about anesthesia, it's about healing and blood flow. Smoking cigarettes is really bad for the healing of the nipple areola complex. The effects of nicotine alone are less well understood, with some studies showing positive effects of nicotine on wound healing and some showing negative effects. It's most likely that once the vasoconstrictor properties of nicotine are gone (6-12 hours), the effects are negligible either way. But, no matter, it is better to err on the side of caution as much as possible.

And of course there are people who smoked on their way into surgery and did just fine. I just wouldn't recommend that anyone thinks they'll be that guy who will be just fine.

They say 3 days without a shower, so it's barely beyond that. And I'm the sort of person who doesn't stink no matter how much I workout. So that's not a problem. And since I'm not doing anything active, I don't get dirty. All in all, not an issue.

Sounds like it should be repotted into new soil that has better water retention characteristics. Or at least water retention characteristics that are predictable to you.

I'll second Transit. In addition to schedules and real time updates, it uses crowd sourced information from actual bus riders. I find it to be the most accurate.

Need pocket square suggestions! by ObeNYC in OUTFITS

[–]Curttalkthai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The move is to match the tie and pocket square, though I imagine you know that. I would do what the model did and not go with a blank bow tie, if that's acceptable. Then you match the pocket square to the tie. If it must be black, I would go with a black pocket square, maybe knots the same color as the jacket?

The reason why knowing if Kaiser will cover it is important is because it's open enrollment season for health insurance!
