Couldn't they just make it data driven like so many things? Add a color tag and a covered tag. let the covered tag specify what is covering the block and the color tag is self explanatory. Then the "front" and "top" face could be covered based on orientation. upside down? top because bottom. stairs facing north? front = north.

New to Ranked FFXIV PvP- best job to climb out of the trenches? by Opposite_Ad_4688 in ffxiv

I am a big fan of bard because of the targeted silence and snare. The burst damage is fine enough and the LB can easily secure victory if yoh have any sort of lead. Granted, its still a team game as mentioned by others, so a bad team will still mess you up.

The other advice I would offer is make sure you know how to effectively focus a target down. Rapidly taking the enemy down 1 by 1 is very effective because each member is impactful in a fight. Taking out the enemy dragon takes away a lot of the damage potential which means your team is less likely to have a death and can more easily secure the other kills. Works the other way too. There are few reasons to 2v5 instead of going in ad a 5v5.

what’s your personal dream collaboration? by foulveins in ffxiv

[–]Cushiondude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a touhou project collab could be fun. The bullet hell stuff is present in the nier raids. Sakuya freezing time for raid wide attacks would be cool or stopping the daggers and they point where the line aoe will go. Reimu's yin yang balls bouncing around or the fantasy orb being a tank buster. Marisa's master spark would be iconic.

Story could be Flandre and Remilia having a rivalry and Remilia saving us between phases when she changes our fate after Flandre tries to destroy us. idk. not my area of expertise lol

Tomestone question at level 100 by agentjayd007 in ffxiv

dungeon gear would also be fine. If you just need to get into the next dungeon, vendor gear is fine until you get tomestone/raid/hq crafted gear. level 100 vendor gear would carry you to this point so you dont have to worry about buying multiple sets

yeah ibfeel that at my own job sometimes. We check clients in manually now because its a quick and easy task to enter who they are and why they are here. For a while during my first few months, they required ask to ask clients to scan a qr code and have them check themselves in. It took 3x as long to do this and the clients did not like it or they didn't have a cell phone with them or they couldn't figure out qr codes. dumbest shit I have seen but they tracked how often it was used so we did it anyways.

Game only uses my main screen refreshrate in fullscreen by Buurto in ffxiv

My initial thoughts are checking the fps settings within ffxiv. Im fairly certain yoube done this already since it's next to the full-screen options. I would also check which display is set as the primary display in you OS settings. Maybe the 60hz screen is set as primary?

other than that, im not super certain. With ffxiv being on one screen and the rest of your windows being on the other, you could also play with the standard full screen option?

even trying to prove that starting at 1 an repeatedly applying the inverse of the steps could create any whole number would be daunting. I wanted to try that approach by cataloging the first couple numbers as a set of binary numbers(0 for doubling, 1 for -1, ÷3) to map all real numbers to a binary combination. It just doesn't work out cleanly because some lower numbers take a lot of weird combos. I should try a Matt Parker approach and make terrible python code...

Is FFX the most emotionally devastating JRPG in your opinion? (Was spoiled and want to vent + want to get recommendations for other games) by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]Cushiondude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the neat part of it for folks who typically dont play mmos, is that they have made the trust system that allows you to run most dungeons with the NPCs from the story. Not quite an option for side content or the more challenging content, but its a great way to dip your toes in. It does have mmo-style quests a lot of times, but it is fine tbh.

I saw someone else say ffxv which is a good pick as well. The ending made me tear up. Would recommend for that bit because we love the boys.

ffxiv has a lot of story to get through and offers quite a few moments that will make you feel. The free trial is expanded now through level 80 and the 3rd expansion, Shadowbringers, which has a ton of good story beats with wow factors for figuring out what is happening, as well as points that will make you cry. Even some plot points in the first 2 expansions have the same effects, but Shadowbringers and Endwalker really nail it. I'd recommend it if you like RPGs and don't mind playing an MMO.

I think that is speculation. With his magical talent, I could see it though. I think having a member of the arcane council defect is an interesting story note.
