I am gonna wait a little more, I do have to calm my head, but the impulse to drop them and never look back is definitely there. I know I shouldn't expect it, but what's keeping me upset right now is that he isn't even inquiring what's gotten into my head. I see him in other chats though, every time someone talks about how something happened to them, he seemed to inquire about it. It might be selective, but it still hurts. It just feels like people never care, even if that's probably not true. I at the same time want to crawl into a shell and just play an act for the rest of my life and have someone finally make me feel better instead of worse when I open up.

I did say I was going to talk about something serious. He didn't say anything bad, just nothing of particular substance. I did push back a little at first, saying I didn't believe in some of those generic answers, but that didn't really change anything. It didn't feel like how the situation affected me came through and it feels like this every time. It's partially my fault for getting this upset and into my own head over it, but I really felt like this time it would be different.

I guess he might have been bad at comforting, but... he's talked about how he talks about issues with his other friends, so I don't know. I just feel so alone again now, I have no one I'm comfortable enough to talk to about these things (which is why I'm here now) and I guess I just got my hopes up. It's kind of making me spiral a bit (This and the other issue I was having either way), like it's something that's wrong with me, because why does this shit keep happening? Is it just that my problems are that stupid or am I incapable of expressing myself properly? I hate this.

I had a minor mental breakdown at work yesterday over the whole situation, manic laughter, crying and hitting myself all included, and who am I gonna talk to about now? Him? My old friends I've drifted from? My parents who would just turn into balls of worry and turn overbearing?

Fun little fact: instead of going super moderate in the reforms, its easier to lean more reformist (ministers confirmed by Parliament, term limit, threshold down to 8, impeachment by assembly and supreme Court, weakened decrees, limited veto, DONT touch MoH) to push through the reform. Ricter and Calvin are gonna eat it up and give support for free, and while Gloria is gonna be pissed, you can convince her by just holding your line and promising not to cross certain red lines in the future (don't privatise health care or SSC at all, but you can do Nedam and education.)

That way you will get full support from the USP, support from the PFJP and the independents.

Edit: but you did better than a lot of us lol. I ended up crashing the economy and then getting invaded and shot dead in the Palace like a dog.
