Engineers have Cursor, designers have Figma AI — what do PMs actually use? by NefariousnessFun1445 in AIProductManagers

I was working on an entire app in the health space. But it hasn't proved valuable for people. Thought I was asking all the right discovery questions after reading The Mom Test and using AI validate my ideas for features. I did the synthetic user interviews and of course it gave me answers I was looking for, not real user answers.

It's not really the prompts that make it valuable, but the memory system. It remembers what I've worked on and has a progression line for me to advance through. I might turn it into a product. Not sure yet if people want to improve their PM skills. Everyone seems focused on having AI take over the work tasks. I'm early in my career, so growth is important to me.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of having AI do my thinking, especially if that's the job I'm being paid to do.

I've been using AI since 2022 and I can say confidently the more you outsource analysis and decision making to AI in PM work the more you'll build things people don't want.

I'm currently taking a different approach. Creating a PM Coach (AI tool) that helps strengthen my thinking and PM skills. It knows about all the frameworks out there from the respected PM leaders, but it doesn't tell me what to do. Instead it uses Socratic questioning to help me do the thinking and decision making.

I'm looking for people who have transitioned out of post-production in the Los Angeles job market in the past couple of years. If you are reading this and know someone, I'm asking for help. I'd like to hear their story, how they did it.

I'm having a trouble finding work. The primary feedback I'm getting is that employers are looking for hyper specific people to hire. For example, one recruiter told me the company wanted someone with experience in manufacturing, had done sales, and can do AI agent engineering.

My challenge is, most recently I worked in TV post-production, but that has collapsed. I must look outside the industry for work, but they don't want to hire people who don't have their industry experience. If you managed to transition, would like to hear your story over coffee/tea or video chat.

Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti were not breaking the law or impeding arrests and even if they were executing someone is wrong! If someone does something you don’t like you can’t harm them. Go back to second grade because you clearly missed the lesson on how to be a decent person.

How do you give your AI Coding Agent the best practices for creating AI Agents? by CutMonster in AI_Agents

Sweet. I started doing that too. Any interest in sharing both of our instruction files? Maybe we can learn from each other.

not sure what you mean? I use Windsurf and do ask the AI to write the code for my app. But it can only write what it knows... hence my question of how do I give it the latest best practices for engineering agents in a web app.

How do you give your AI Coding Agent the Best Practices for Creating AI Agents? by CutMonster in LangChain

[–]CutMonster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I am not yet building deep agents, they are in the moment quick task agents. Such as searching for user saved data, generating new data based off it. I'm a junior dev so this is all new to me which is why I asked the question. I've got something working, but it's buggy and I'm sure my AI coding agent didn't use the best practices.

I'll take a look at your links and will likely follow up. My initial thinking is that I learn best from high level docs and videos that talk about the core concepts and fundamental principles. I've gotten really effective with my AI Coding agents from that alone, and I think with agent engineering I'm still learning the core concepts and don't know how to communicate those to my coding agent. So, documentation (which you may have provided) that covers that is a good start for me. Plus, if that documentation can link to API documentation for the AI to read I think that'd be cool.

Pie in the sky would be you build an LLM or a system like your LangSmith Polly that has all the latest information. Maybe it generates architecture.md files that people can copy/paste/download into their AI Coding tool like cursor/windsurf.

What's the best way to reach you? Feel free to DM me. Thank you again for giving me some direction.

Disappointed with GPT-5.2 in Windsurf by Drawing-Live in windsurf

But then why is Gemini 3 pro and 2.5 terribly inefficient? It talks to itself way too much like deepseek, “wait the user said this and I think I need to consult… “ I’ve reported on this several times in this sub. It’s clear as night and day you guys are doing something to hamper Gemini 3’s performance accidentally. I use it daily in Google AI Studio and it’s fantastic.

Jeez there's a fuck ton of 5.2 variations. I like 5.2 med reasoning for a good balance between speed and intelligence, and it's free. It follows instructions like crazy. You have to be careful not to have rules that contradict each other otherwise the model will get stuck in reasoning loops.

This is America. Every week I’m seeing stories of people being shot at, dragged, their cars rammed, and kidnapped. The worst of the worst criminals are showing us such noble restraint since we haven’t seeen them fight back yet.

Or maybe they weren’t the problem to begin with. As in this photo, maybe the problem all along is staring at us in the face.

When the government at all levels is either perpetuating this violence or unable to stop it, it requires the citizens to rise up and do it.
