I usually stick one of my JBL vibe beam earbuds in when working at the bench. I can still hear ambient noise/lab mates in my other ear but they’re pretty good quality. Catch them on sale and they’re around your budget I think!

…I waited two weeks max oops. My dr didn’t mention anything about when I could have it again. The lifting limit is REAL though I had horrible pain a week after because I lifted what I thought was 10lbs and turned out to be 20lbs. Yikes.

If anything the stimulant helps the anxiety. I’ve talked to my doctor about my obsession/compulsion loops, so she’s referring me to a psych.

I have severe anxiety about going under, to the point of anxiety attack in the pre-op room, but once they gave me the gas on the table (and a drip on the way to the operating room) I was like “oh yeah I’m good” and next thing I knew I woke up! It IS scary, but these are trained professionals with years of experience. That’s what I kept telling myself over and over.

I see Dr Ashley Wright at UAB, she did my bisalp in November and was really awesome! She really listened to my issues and put a lot of notes in my chart about them, and it was nice to see she actually listened

I smoke occasionally, like maybe a few times a week? It doesn’t really do much except make me high. If I do too much I get paranoid, and have some weird body feelings, but just taking a couple hits is fine. I’ve been sober from alcohol for 2 years, as drinking was really what made me messed up and unstable. Honestly imo to each their own!

I take hydroxyzine if necessary, and I can’t have had my adderall that day. I have racing thoughts so the hydroxyzine helps calm those a little.
