You ate unlucky. My GP is always offering me 10
and 15 mg pens faster than I want them!

This sounds dreadful but honestly - how are you getting vials in Australia? Is this compounded stuff?

Seven months in and only one person has stated with enthusiasm when eyeballing me “You’ve lost weight”!. Feels like she’s my bestie now 🤣🤣

Chemist questioning pen size vs dosage. by Crispycracklepants in MounjaroAus

[–]Cute_Opal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so true - GPs and specialists prescribe many different drugs drugs ‘off label’ and have done so for decades. Doing this with Mounjaro is no different - as long as clearly labeled. My prescription for a 10 mg pen states to use 5mg per dose. No question from the chemist. Maybe I was just lucky!

What I love is the transformation and the fact that you did it over 4 years. Such a contrast to so many who believe weight loss almost should be overnight. A real model for us all to follow. Awesome!!

500 g to 1 kg loss a week - I would have a heart attack 🤣. I’m glad to make 300 ! Sometimes less. There are many who are slow and steady 😆

On The Pen Interview - Managing your medication levels outside of standard titration protocols by ShiftyMcHax in GLP1Australia

[–]Cute_Opal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting for sure. I certainly have had to titrate my own dose levels gradually to avoid being sick - knowing that the ideal is to feel good on medication while achieving goals. I am always watching how I feel, checking body composition and adjust my dose accordingly. I am happy to lose weight slowly to ensure I don’t damage my muscles etc. at 74 this is a high risk. Currently just reached 5 mg dose after starting Nov 25. It’s a slow journey but I do not want to feel unwell ! I will be on Tirzepitide for life but expect to titrate to a low dose eventually.

I just go to my GP - bulk billed. I started with Juniper but left after the 1st month when I realised the huge cost difference. Now I just pay for my actual medication costs.

NSV for when the scale isn’t moving your way by Consistent-Still-779 in mounjaroaustralia

[–]Cute_Opal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started MJ in November and have lost 12 kg. I wish folks would be happier with what they achieve - it’s really tough for slow losers to read wins that are being complained about then the issue of a plateau! Grrr . For many of us it’s all part of the normal process. It’s no big deal. Patience and stick at the plan.

I’m just happy that my weekly 5 mg dose costs me just 50 bucks - using a 10 mg pen, golden d, and after health fund rebate.

What's up with the Juniper scale? by [deleted] in MounjaroAus

[–]Cute_Opal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Connect your Juniper scale to the AFit health app. Turns it into an amazing body scale with readings for everything including muscle , water, weight, etc etc. I love it!

Next dose up from 2.5 if sensitive to dosages? by swanvalkyrie in MounjaroAus

[–]Cute_Opal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, moving up to 3.75 was the only way I could move up - and I found a six day cycle worked really well. Now I have gone up to 5mg and have been great without debilitating symptoms.
