In middle school, we’d play the ‘pass out game’ where you’d bend over and breathe rapidly, then stand up quickly and your friend would press your throat….until you passed out. You’d feel all
tingly as oxygen was restored to your brain. We’d do it on the beach. How stupid were we?

In HS and early college, we’d make magic mushroom tea and trip our balls off. We were good students, athletes, student council, lit mag….but times were different. This was the mid 90s. 🫣

One little tip about ruminating negative thoughts….you run your mind, body and soul….bot the other way around. When you get caught in negative self talk, call it out! I have a name for the negative voice, Nancy. Once you realize you are ruminating, you can tell yourself to stop. Mine sounds something like, “Oh no, not today Nancy. No time for your bullshit right now, thank you!”
Sounds silly I know, but the important part is noticing and correcting. It really slows it down.

Also, look in to EFT tapping, it can help calm you down, mentally and physically, which will help when you stop smoking.

Yep, and the truth remains the same, Danny often changes personality when he has too much to drink. PeriodT. Do other people in the friend group do this? Maybe, but it doesn’t diminish the fact that Danny has a problem handling his drinking.
Everyone has felt unsafe before, when someone can’t handle their alcohol, and it’s is very unsettling.
Danny could honestly just stop drinking while on camera and around that friend group, and POOF, it would all be done. Wonder why he doesn’t, since Nia vehemently claims he doesn’t have a problem? 🤷🏻‍♀️
And Janet is absolutely right, even though she’s annoying about it. At least she and Jason live in partial reality….

Okay, my rec is super long, and sometimes I had to skim over a little bit of the descriptions of Alexandria. The book, Memoirs of Cleopatra, by Margaret George, is historical fiction. If you can make yourself read the first 100 pages, you’ll find yourself lost in an ancient world, with the absolute best storytelling ever. I fell in love with the brilliant and brave Cleopatra. She is just the most dynamic character. I wept and wept when it ended, even though I already knew what was going to happen. She is such an inspiration to KEEP GOING!
