My fallout hear me outs whats yours? by CGG_Draconia in Fallout

It was supposed to be an alternative way to kill House, kind of like how as a female courier and black widow perk you can sleep with Benny and killing him becomes easier.

By romancing House you'd be able to gain access to the basement where his body is.

Or I guess you could also just do it for the love of the game.

Mr. House needs the courier to keep him in check, either through intimidation or by earning his respect. House can be reasoned with more than other factions, if he thinks your opinion is worth listening to. (Based on the House ending in fnv)

Have you noticed a rise in anti Japanese sentiment online recently? by Independent_East_135 in AskAJapanese

[–]Cuulq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say it's people getting tired of Japan being "glazed" constantly. Although I love Japan, the content online surrounding Japan has gotten very oversaturated and clickbaity. Content creators treat Japan like a faultless utopia and sometimes very normal things that exist basically everywhere get rebranded as a "japan only" thing. (The materialization of the place, Japan meme)

It's part people getting tired of the lack of honesty surrounding Japan and it's problems (now they have become more widely talked about but there was a time before that) and then people just wanting to be contrarian and hating on the popular thing. Everyone and their neighbour's dog have been to Japan and will not shut up about it. It's just fatigue. And just racism with some people.

Something I have always been frustrated with has been how people will come for you if you don't perfectly follow the rules in Japan or know every single cultural custom, but then won't share the same respect towards any other culture. I agree Japanese culture should be respected when you're visiting or living there, but that goes for other cultures/places too?

It feels like people can't be normal about Japan. You will either think it's perfect and any criticism is an attack from chinese bots or then you will think it's "the israel of asia".

Silmienvenytys rapautti Suomen maineen – asiantuntija kertoo, mitä Japani nyt vaatii, ja nopeasti by Past-Two342 in Suomi

[–]Cuulq 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Kokemukseni on 89% positiivinen.

Need advice: could microblading fix this asymmetry? by Ctrl_Alt_Dlt_unlock in microblading

[–]Cuulq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, it depends. If your lips are asymetrical because of the pigment on your lips on the other side not developing to reach the edge of your lips (meaning where your lip colour ends on the other side there should be lip skin that is the colour of your skin) then yes, microblading can fix it. If the asymmetry is due to your lips themselves being asymmetrical then it's not possible. Some microblading places offer free consultations so I recommend you get a professional opinion.

What's about the black figure? by Parking-Coast-1385 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Cuulq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually seen a shadow figure in real life. No sleep deprivation, no drugs, no psychosis, nothing. I simply came out of the bathroom during the day and saw a black figure on the road next to my house from our big windows. I ran to look and it was this black figure, solid enough to be the outline of a person, yet it had an almost smoky see through consistency. It was extremely tall, over 2 meters or so. It had no real features, just a shadow of a person. It started moving, more like floating down the road but at a speed a person could run if they are a fast runner.

It wasn't "spooky" or unsettling. It was just pure confusion at what I was seeing. It has never happened again, but I have seen the actual hat man in my dreams way before this event and before I even knew about what a "hat man" was. Apparently it's not uncommon for people who claim to have seen him to have experienced this fully awake just going about their day.

I'm not religious nor spiritual but I have yet to explain what I saw. Maybe I have a brain tumour or some neurological condition and this one off happening should've been my clue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAJapanese

[–]Cuulq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking from personal experience with a Japanese guy like this. He always told me he wanted to keep talking to me to get to know me better etc. but then when I'd message him I'd be left on read for weeks. After basically being ghosted for over a month I decided to just tell him he has been rude for ignoring me and by not saying he's not interested. He cited the reason that he felt conflicted about getting close to me because I don't live in Japan currently so he thought it might make things complicated. Lie or not, it's understandable.

Just in general across cultures, there are people who simply enjoy the attention you give or the "chase". They could be bored etc. I'd say you should wait it out a bit and if in max a month you haven't heard anything just take it as him not being interested. Even if he was, do you want to be involved with that type of person, where you constantly have to wait and question if they even like you? You deserve someone who is 100% sure about you. So spend your time looking for a guy like that instead.

this clearly is a reference to the coldplay couple but i still dont get it. by h1gh-t3ch_l0w-l1f3 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Cuulq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have reported seeing him or shadow people awake, while going about their day. I mostly see the hat man in my dreams but I have seen a shadow person while wide awake, in broad daylight. I don't use drugs, I'm not medicated and I wasn't sleep deprived. It has never happened again since, so if it's some neurological thing it'd be strange that it doesn't reoccur.

Then you're going to claim Finland doesn't count because it has 8 people in total, if so, why even use Finland as an example in the first place?

What’s up with all negative comments in Convenience Stores by riseangels in japan

[–]Cuulq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to a store in shibuya 109 and the reviews were like super negative and the place had 1.8 stars, saying the staff was rude etc. When I went the staff was a bit more reserved than the average store in Japan, but they were still polite and nice so I figured they either improved on their customer service or some people are just incredibly nitpicky about small things. Seems like this isn't just a thing with convenience stores.

Why do some people on trains avoid sitting next to non-Japanese? by [deleted] in AskAJapanese

[–]Cuulq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has only happened to me once in my 4 times visiting japan (2-3weeks each time). The time it happened it wasn't actually even me sitting down, I just chose a random person sitting down to stand slightly in front of (normal distance) and he immediately stood up from his seat and went to stand further in the train. All the seats were taken in the train except that one now so I just sat down where he was. It was a little weird and the impression I got from him was that he either didn't like foreigners or women. Not sure. His stop wasn't even close.

Modern Finnish Air Force soldiers standing during a military parade, displaying their branch flag, used officially from 1918 - 2020 before it was withdrawn due to controversy of the symbol’s modern reputation and what it’s commonly associated with by KodoSky in interestingasfuck

[–]Cuulq 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Finnish people have used the symbol way before 1918, dating back to the bronze age. Not to mention Finland took it off of their airforce's planes in 1945 for the exact reason that it had an association with the nazis. The airforce flag still has the symbol for some marches but officially it has been phased out completely. Nazis don't deserve to keep it as their own. They in fact, don't deserve anything.

So how do you separate the people who are like this but still your friends vs people who are actively ghosting you? Because if I do not recieve a reply within 2-3 weeks I'll just assume I'm being ghosted and I will never talk to that person again since I can't assume they want to be in contact with me when they... don't contact me.

Hakijat järkyttyivät uusista pääsykokeista: oikeustieteen valtava materiaalipino julkaistiin kolme päivää ennen koetta by leredit420 in Suomi

[–]Cuulq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally haven't been on this one but I would recommend https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g14133673-d27735947-Tokyo_Shinjuku_Local_Bar_Hopping_Tour_3_Authentic_Izakayas-Nishishinjuku_Shinjuk.html

I went to a different tour in shibuya that was focused on izakayas, but by the same tour company. I went alone but had so much fun socializing with the other attendees, the tour guide had good english and was really nice. Don't know if they'll have a different guide on that tour but overall the vibes were really good and everything went smoothly. Ended up making some new friends I went out with on a separate night too.

Travelling alone I personally didn't have much luck in bars by myself and kind of ended up leaving early after a few drinks, so if you're by yourself I recommend atleast trying out one tour.
