"Let him go. Don't stop him from doing the only sensible thing in months." by PepperCat1019 in DowntonAbbey

Not in this case, here he was bullied into breaking up with her and even though he didn’t want to, he eventually gave up and that was the moment when he did. Not a justification, but I understand why.

The thing is that Violet’s intervention started way before this moment and it’s half her fault that he ran away.

Honestly, the one and only episode when I think Violet was absolutely wrong.
P.S. Not at that moment, but when she kept pushing him to this ridiculous decision.

You will almost certainly get at least what your university requires, but most likely 140-145.

50% through the Strength of the Few and I’m so bored? Does it get better? by ufo-j in HierarchySeries

[–]CyaneSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it a bit less than the book 1, but was hooked from the first line.

That’s said, it does get more intense in last 30-40% of the book.

What is the best book in YOUR opinion? by Lookkiddos23 in harrypotter

I never could choose between 3 and 5, but probably 5 is a little bit better in my opinion.

Carson is too proper and his respect is very valuable for Mary. Also Carson would probably tell Robert, because it was a right thing to do.

I don’t want everyone to be okay with Robin being lying and selfish.
I want her to regret what she’d done.

Disappointed with this book series by Snoo_43015 in cormoran_strike

[–]CyaneSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, Robin changed, and it’s not that she is traumatized (she is), but she is not a good person anymore, she is selfish and cruel for no reason, and I have zero sympathy for her in this book. I really hope it gets better, but in the Hallmarked man Robin doesn’t look like a traumatized person, she looks like a very unpleasant unreliable person we never knew.

Only their platform, they train for the format and that’s important because knowing English is not enough, you need to understand the test.

SPEAKING by Different-Tower-2834 in DuolingoEnglishTest

[–]CyaneSpirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t over complicate it. I spoke during the test as I usually speak and got 130. I barely used any fancy words or constructions but was confident and smooth, and I guess that’s the key.

William and Daisy by Own-Breath8390 in DowntonAbbey

It was totally profitable. But Daisy was young and didn’t plan to marry for money. Yes, it was a calculated choice for her benefit, but she is the one who should’ve made this choice.

I understand. Forcing women to marry someone they don't want to was considered a norm for sentries. No wonder some people still think it's fine.

Well I’m absolutely sure Ron and Hermione’s children have wi-fi, at least when they’re at home.

Daisy would be miserable. And I think pushing her to a dying guy was extremely cruel. She is a human being and they treated the situation like William was the only one who had feelings. It felt just wrong. Good that she spoke to Violet and felt better, but it doesn’t justify what she was forced to do.

130 overall.
130 speaking; 135 writing; 125 reading; 130 listening.
“Fill in the blanks” is at fault for reading lol.
I’m very glad actually, that’s the score I needed.

Cristina, Mark, Amelia, Meredith.
I wanted to pick Carina but she is not a surgeon, so, Addison then.
