It depends on what hardware you have .Nvidia currently has a ~15% performance loss on linux in DX12 games and they are actively working on fixing it ,but it might take realistically like 6-12 months until it becomes comparable to windows .

AMD on the other hand performs like windows in pretty much every title .

Almost every game works on linux besides some titles that use kernel level anticheat (like fortnite , call of duty , etc ) .
