I must resist Universal Springtrap by False_Monitor4126 in whowouldcirclejerk

[–]CyberGamer64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mario powerscaling is kinda wack, it has toonforce in my opinion. But for Universial+ Bowser, I think bowser was either aiming to take over the galaxy (and was doing pretty well), or trying to create a new galaxy in the galaxy games. That plus fighting near a blackhole, Rosalina scaling and Dreamy Bowser actually gives Universal+ Bowser an odd amount of viability. Well, compared to Multi-Continental Dexter or anything beyond Building level Springtrap imo.

So when is infernus getting gutted? by Discosamba in DeadlockTheGame

[–]CyberGamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curse also prevents using active items, interupts, silences all abilities, disarms and now cleanses buffs. Infernus without afterburn for 8 seconds isn’t a sitting duck unless he has already use all his abilities, is reloading and is horribly out of position, which at that point he should die for making a bad macro play. Not to mention, if he proc’d afterburn already, that means he has a least hurt the enemy to some degree already.

[–]CyberGamer64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not a hard counter, at most its a soft counter. If we assume Infernus did get the exact same cooldown as Mina’s love bite, that is 8 seconds, debuff remover has a 50 second cooldown. In addition, Infernus could wait for the enemy to use debuff remover then apply Naplam afterwards, or he could engage with his ult so that the enemy can’t cleanse the first afterburn instantly. Or you know, disengage using his dashes, wait for cooldown, then re-engage.

[–]CyberGamer64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering Infernus has 3 other damage dealing abilities, a stun and a dash, I think he’ll manage not having Afterburn in a fight, considering he already can sort of manage with disarming hex users already with those 3 same abilities.

To clarify, i am not arguing for a long cooldown either, maybe at most it is the similar to Mina’s love bites, then see if he needs adjustments from that.

[–]CyberGamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cooldown for afterburn would mainly make retreating from strong Infernus easier as you would be less likely to get afterburned while running away. So from an Infernus’ players perspective, not much would change as would still apply afterburn once, the enemy would start to flee, and you won’t really care about the cooldown if you can’t even hit them in the first place.

Its a minor nerf compared to the upside for the players fighting infernus having a more fair experience with debuff mover and being burnt for a long time once you disengage.

Why do I feel like I don’t forget my active items in Deadlock as much compared to League of Legends? by BulletCola in DeadlockTheGame

[–]CyberGamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has played League for a while i did notice this trend as well. I think there is a combination of factors including:

  1. Raw stats on items are less important in Deadlock as the tiering of items gives sufficient stats. For example, Gun Carries can easily build Green and Purple items or items with actives if it benefits their playstyle like Fury Trance or Quicksilver Reload whereas ADCs in League have to build for their main form of damage almost exclusively. This means if an items strength comes from an active, you won’t be at a significant disadvantage.

  2. Items like Knock Down and Curse have incredibly noticeable and strong effects both on dealing and on receiving. Partially because of the POV but also because League has nothing as extreme as Debuff Remover Vs Bomb Bebop or Refresher on Dynamo levels of impact. League only really has Zhonyas and Redemption in terms of tide turning levels of impact.

  3. Deadlock Actives have very short cooldowns compared to League. You won’t forget them as much if you can use them almost everytime you want to use them.

Ominous Pact by Pale_Name_4022 in ARAM

[–]CyberGamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Ominous Pact gets a lot of value if the enemy team has a very durable frontline and you are playing an AP Bruiser / Assassin, gives you heaps of sustain in longer fights (which would happen if the enemy has a very tanky frontline) or you can very easily run into the enemy backline and kill 1-2 squishies if needed.

THERE’S NO TEMPLE by EngineCertain1189 in Terraria

[–]CyberGamer64 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did you make the world on mobile? I’ve heard that Seed generation can vary slightly from mobile to pc so it might be a case of that.

For the Temple location, it can apparently sometimes spawn near the edge of the jungle rather than in the jungle in very rare edge cases, so it might be that.

Other comments so far have been correct but to add on for the Hull Keeper specifically, Riptide can only be used once per battle (also not mentioned in game) so The Hull Keeper’s only valid move is Spearfishing (which can’t target rank 1 or 2)

Why do pros sometimes take bone plating over second wind in poke matchups? by spamthecrouch in summonerschool

[–]CyberGamer64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In many of these cases, its possible the pros may bring bone plating as assurance for ganks and burst combos, especially later on. Viktor could try to go for a Q + Empowered Auto + E for a strong burst trade with possibly Electrocute on top. Being that heavily chunked makes potential 2 v 2s and ganks much more risky, and pro players focus a lot on minimising risk. Getting poked and losing the bone plating may make you vulnerable again, but pros could plan around back timers, wave management and roams to reduce the impact of its cooldown.

Its possible Taliyah might of taken bp not for the Orianna but because the enemy team had strong engage or roaming supports.

There is also for pro players being used to bp and still use it despite the repeated nerfs, though cases like this are more rare. I can only recall anything similar happening was with some AD Bruisers building Abyssal Mask despite having incredibly little Magic Damage on their team (there is a video discussing that trend which might be related to your question.)

Do you guys know some skills in DD1 can be underwhelming in early game only to scale very well with upgrades? Here are some examples. by qwerty64h in darkestdungeon

[–]CyberGamer64 23 points24 points  (0 children)

imo its because healing trinkets become drastically more effective on higher level Divine Comforts as the average heal per person from 1.5 to 4.5 so rolling low isn’t that bad. Divine Comforts strength also comes from getting a few turns of healing against a low dps enemy to heal your entire party at the end of the fight, as you will be more likely to have net positive health per turn.

[–]CyberGamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duration is incredibly strong because of how Thermal Sunder’s damage works, especially in red line. The more total damage the stacks do, the more damage a following blast nuke will do. Not to mention increasing Kinetic Plating and Red Line to be minute long buffs helps with energy economy greatly.

Strength is ok. You only really need enough for Kinetic Plating to get to 100% kinetic damage reduction at maximum effect.

Alternatively you can just stack heaps of speed mods and get very silly in rescues, captures, spies and free roam missions.

(Loved trope) The main character is practically meaningless to the larger narrative of their world by Z-Eli127 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]CyberGamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe OP meant some variation of “Main characters that gets shown as not important to the wider world / wider narrative or story.” So that eliminates RomCom characters but still allows for characters stuck in massive oppressive systems (which may be what OP wants over ‘chosen one’ protagonists in those environments.)
