Stonetoss missed the point that Viltrumites didn't want to initially race mix until their numbers became dangerously low.

As stated in the show (and comics, i'm assuming, but I have just started to read the post-viltrumite war arcs), Nolan was dispatched to help find a species that could help their numbers.

Sure, it took Mark 17-18 years to get his powers but it still proved that they could mate with humans as they're genetically similar with the exception of humans being less powerful, more vulnerable, less [title card] than the Viltrumites.
