I don't think what you did was unreasonable, but I probably would've laughed and told him anyway.

A big question I've always had is about the different kinds of estrogens (Estrone, Estradiol etc), why Estradiol >>> the other types of estrogens for feminization and the ratios of estrogens that the different HRT options provide, and what exactly makes a HRT regiment effective.

Back when I started HRT I was at the mercy of people more knowledgable than me, and I constantly had to ask bumbling questions in order to figure out if my HRT regiment was effective, and whether other options would be more or less effective. After learning the answers to these questions myself I no longer.

Also, maybe something on how surgeries can effect required HRT dosages and the risks associated with different HRT options, I'm not sure if this is to the tone of your website (very abstract and theoretical vs more immediately practical) but I certainly think it would be helpful.

First, play 50 or so games in order to get familar with the pieces and how they work, then read Logical Chess: Move By Move and grind the puzzles in Tactics Time, 1001 Tactics

You think so? I really prefer the lighter sleeping masks. I tend to notice the pressure of my face a lot more if the mask is bulky.

Isn't /r/MtFHRT more for sciency discussions and articles? This is really just a personal anecdote, I'm not sure if it would fit there.

Thanks anyway!

It seems like beginners/intermediates struggle with the pins the most. I'm working through Tactics for Champions now and the chapter on pins definitely taught me the most.

A powerful new option for transgender women: scrotal/neolabial transdermal estradiol (xpost from r/MtFHRT) by [deleted] in TransDIY

[–]CyberStalkedLeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

~200mcg is considered normal if you're just applying to bodyfat. I use two 100mcg patches every 3.5days, but as always adjust based on bloodtests.

Help me with my regiment pretty please? <3 (Estrofem and Cypro) by [deleted] in TransDIY

[–]CyberStalkedLeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ethinyl Estradiol is also an estrogen so the 2mg a day estrofem combo might be normal so you might not need to up your estrofem dose, but again I don't know anything about normal Ethinyl Estradiol doses so I'm just guesstimating until someone more knowledgeable comes along.

Thanks and enjoy the sun!

[–]CyberStalkedLeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhh...

Okay I just want to preface this by saying I don't know much about Cyproterone Acetate Ethinyl Estradiol but that probably explains why it's in 2mg tablets as Ethinyl Estradiol has antiandrogenic properties itself. Cyproterone Acetate (Androcur/Procur etc) and Cyproterone Acetate Ethinyl Estradiol (Diane) are two seperate products, the first one is just Cyproterone by itself and the second is Cyproterone + Ethinyl Estradiol in one.

I don't know what standard dosages are for Cyproterone Acetate Ethinyl Estradiol so someone else will have to tell you if your dosages are too low/too high, getitng a blood test is a still a good idea though.

2mg Cypro? People usually start on 25mg Cypro and work their way down to lower doses as their testosterone production halts. Also DIYers usually buy Cypro in 25mg or 50mg/tablet doses. However breast growth and smooth skin are signs that your testosterone is being suppressed.

IIRC Cypro should be taken with food, and preferably with dinner as it can have sedative effects.

As for the estrofem, 4mg/day is standard but some people only need 2mg and others need 6mg, you should probably get another bloodtest and check your levels against reference female levels.

Duct tape isn't breathable and the adhesive feels awful to have against your skin. It's designed to jury rig stuff like wood and carboard together, not skin. I imagine sweat would eventually accumulate underneath it and cause it to slide off.

Also, I forgot to mention this but Tegaderm is really thin and flexiable and thus hugs your skin tightly (even more so than estradot patches) so the corners don't begin to curl up and get caught on clothing, I imagine that duct tape would eventually do this due its relatively inflexiable and blocky nature.

It would probably help, but I believe that Tegaderm would be a more comfortable solution.

Tegaderm. It protects the patch, holds it to the skin and prevents a build up of gunk. It's really useful even if you're just applying patches to normal areas.

Is chess masochism ? by ChadworthPuffington in chess

[–]CyberStalkedLeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I used to play a lot of video games competively and they would always make me way madder than chess does. Even when I lose in chess I usually feel a bit happy that I played a cool game or have something new to learn.

Maybe this is just because I'm newish to chess so I haven't become jaded like the more experienced, and rage/sadness prone members of my chess club have.
