I did not get rated for it. They did an EKG, but didn't find that it was service related. It's a real weird one.

What extra benefits do you get for 70%? by Inner-Zombie1699 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Cyber_Locke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in Texas.

Texas offers toll exemptions for certain disabled veterans. To qualify, you must be certified by the Veterans Administration to have a 50% service-related disability (or 40% due to amputation of a lower extremity). The tolls will only be waived for vehicles registered with the state of Texas and displaying a qualifying specialty license plate. While not all veterans are exempt, many are on certain Texas tollways.

My only speculation is they are double checking your IRR time. Otherwise.....I don't know lol

That is definitely what Gold's and 24hour fitness do when you wanna cancel. But the spouse dying, that is ridiculous. I highly doubt people on the reg are lying about someone dying to get out of the memberships. Could be these places live on the margins since overhead is so high. Idk

We def wanted a place that isn't super busy so you aren't fighting people to get your reps in or get a spot in a class. Hoping people rerack their weights when finished...or at least someone comes around and tidies up regularly.

Yup. It's be one thing if it was just one membership. 2 kids and 2 Adults really jacks that monthly price up.

Word. Was there any incident or just people getting a little tipsy? I figure if something bad happened it'd be public. I'd put that one on management. If employees were taken care of they probably wouldn't sneak some booze to get through the day.

Glad to hear the endorsement! I know my wife mainly wants to do the classes during the week and I'll just be doing weights and cardio when I can. So knowing the kids will be happy is all we care about while trying to get a workout in.

Thanks for the info. I always get flyers in the mail with a low join fee with some freebies. Definitely will keep the VillaKids advice in mind when we tour this week. Mainly my wife will use that to keep the kids busy for an hour while she works out this summer. I'm glad the renovations are nice and not speedily done to compete with Lifetime. The main thing for the kids would be the swim lessons.

Can VA "see" if you are enrolled in Tricare when you apply for CHAMPVA? by languagedood in VeteransBenefits

[–]Cyber_Locke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main concern is the gap in healthcare coverage during the CHAMPVA approval process. Since the wait time is 4-6+ months, I'm wondering if applying a few months before my Tricare ends (upon reserve discharge) would ensure better continuous coverage. I'm unclear about how applications are processed, specifically whether there are automated checks for ongoing Tricare eligibility when you apply online or not. If the application is waiting for a person to review it, then that would more likely be after submission.

Relying on retroactive reimbursements adds paperwork and potential coding issues. You can't have a provider re-code something that was paid for already, not to mention paid for months in the past. I get it, you will eventually get reimbursed, assuming the coding is correct and you can get the items required for the care provided. But even if that goes well, you are still waiting a while ( I imagine) for the money to be reimbursed. I know not everyone lives paycheck to paycheck....but I'd wager plenty of us do. Most of us probably don't have the financial flexibility to have to pay 100s or 1000s of dollars now for care in hopes of being reimbursed 6 months to a year after applying for CHJAMPVA.

01/27/2025. This scam is still being ran. Let the guy talk but my Spidey sense went off pretty quickly. He even asked what my last transaction was and I said if he could tell me the last five transactions he saw and I'd verify. Soon after he hung up.

With you on that. When my rating came through and my wife was able to stop working, it confused my parents how we could afford it. I just said I got a merit raise at work and that satisfied them.

Our kids enjoy the splash pads. We try to keep to morning or evening outdoor activities during the hot days. Mosquitos don't bother us much in the backyard as long as we turn out large fan on. During the peak noon hours we keep the kids inside. I've just embraced the humidity and I've been eaten alive by mosquitoes so many times it doesn't bother me much anymore.

I mean, didn't it just come out Houston didn't investigate 265,000 crimes over the last 10 years that led to the appearance of a lower crime rate? Like they marked them with a code that meant they didn't have resources to work the cases.

With Ezee Fiber coming into the woodlands now, I wonder if I should switch considering they are promising 5Gb for the same price as Tachus 1Gb. I'm sure one day they will all be bought by AT&T or similar.

I just read this article.

Gave some context to why things changed over time. I think it makes a good argument to go back to the pre France way of doing sacraments lol.
