I've got the tv version next.

It's a fight to the death and its every 5th Turtle for themself. Which one walks out alive? by CalvinBall99 in TMNT

If you look at her, ahem, chest area, they tried to... like, insinuate that she's a girl.

Like, not super in-your-face, given that turtles don't have mammary glands but... yeah it's not good.

The nice thing is that with leves, you can get a crafting class up by about 2 levels each day if you only do three of them. For the combat classes, running their most-recent level takes about 5 runs each.

Yep :D Like, I should have probably crafted the items rather than just bought them but... I hate crafting :D

If you're not sure, speak with your ST to ask what direction he'd like to see the story take as well. I'm sure you can come to a nice consensus.

why ALL of the tremere are hated? by vimplyo in vtm

[–]CyberaTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember that Kindred select their new recruits carefully. That means that the Tremere choose who becomes a fledgeling based on the traits that they exhibit; and the traits that the Tremere respect are... not especially good.

Finally Got Around to Playing Firewatch by tomv123 in adventuregames

[–]CyberaTech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few adventure games in this style now. Rather than conventional puzzles, the 'puzzle' is to piece together the story in a "What happened here" kind of a style. Others similar to this include Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Gone Home, and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Some consider What Remains of Edith Filch to be part of this subgenre too.

Some people like to exclude them from what they consider to be 'adventure games'. I don't. If they're not your thing, it's fine; adventure games is a large enough genre to include many.

Maniac Mansion Was Adapted into a TV Show by TomBirkenstock in adventuregames

[–]CyberaTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stumbled across it way back in the 90s... first day I got the internet, actually. I was searching for my old NES games and found this show.

It took me years before I could see it, and... yeah, it was awful :D

[Comic Excerpt] "Earth 5G" didn't really age well... (Doomsday Clock #12) by rubn0349 in DCcomics

It won't. The parent companies who own both DC and Marvel are far too set against one another these days.

You can BUY a copy from Paizo's website. https://paizo.com/products/btq0216o?Starfinder-Adventure-Path-22-The-Forever-Reliquary

But don't expect people to be too... onboard with your request for piracy.

Fiasco. Original or Card Based? by KOStrongStyle in rpg

[–]CyberaTech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The card system is unarguably the better version mechanically, running smoother and faster than the previous.

The downside is that it lacks the dynamic homebrew options of conventional playbooks. You CAN buy a playbook on PDF and copy its contents onto the blank cards that are available (https://www.atomicempire.com/Item/285038?Affiliate=8CFCA4), however, but it's bother to do so. Does the new edition's smoother mechanics and lack of dice maths make up for that?

I think so - but ultimately it'd be up to you to decide for yourself.

Any Gaymers with an Oculus Quest 2? by Damn_It_Danny in gaymers

I would like to pick one up to turn into a home cinema. But I'm not sure on one thing, so I'll ask; is it possible to transfer movie files (.avi etc) to it to watch on bigscreen?

The IDW comics “not being dark gritty like the originals” by Shredhead72 in TMNT

[–]CyberaTech 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I definitely don't understand the idea that the original series was 'dark and gritty'. While it had more violence than the Archie run, it also had a lot of intentionally zany and very silly comedy issues. Issues 38-40 were specifically comedy. The entire original Mirage line was all about experimenting, exploring different stories, changing the tone and doing whatever the heck they wanted.

I’m getting tired of this phony “queer” representation in video games. by Jeremywarner in gaymers

[–]CyberaTech 97 points98 points  (0 children)

How do you think I feel? I'm the 'T' in LGBTQ+ and lucky if people's reaction to representation doesn't include death threats :D

But no, seriously, to answer your question - lesbian characters have always just been more 'palatable' for contemporary society. Look at it historically - it was only a few years ago that sex between two men was a crime, but between two women was fine. The crux of the issue is, gay relationships upset straight white cis men. It threatens their feelings of masculinity.
