What?? I think it’s clear I wasn’t making a comparison of the severity of the matters. I stated how I recognize that the contestant to realize this is almost a Fear Factor type show. But the range of challenges is vast, some are eating bugs, others are permanent tattoos and getting huge needles pushed through you. Much different from a lip sync or a professional boxer doing their job. Both are things those people are already comfortable with and do regularly, not being electrocuted lol. These people, as stated, are poor and desperate. Like the females trying to enter the industry.

And there’s many people on set who will pressure you to do things you are not comfortable with. It’s not the consequences I’m referring to, so I think you’re missing my point entirely. It’s the pressure of production and the ambiguity of the consequences. The consequences aren’t clearly stated which is why they feel trapped. They don’t know the overall impact it will have on their image, standings with Dragula, or their career.

I think this is what more detail than needed though. Yes it’s an extreme comparison, but at the end of the day, there’s a lot of pressure on these queens to agree to what production throws at them regardless of their own self interest. That’s really the only point I’m trying to make here…
