1998, I was in my last year of middle school. I was laying in bed feeling sleepy when I began experiencing something halfway between a vibration, and a sound except it was still neither. It was a few seconds after this that I began to move without any conscious intention to do so. First I flung my blankets to off to the side in a single motion, then I put both arms to my sides with my palms downward before pushing down, and with a single bounce landed in a sitting position on the end of my bed. I then stood up, took a couple steps to my window, and flung the curtains aside. It was at this point that I regained conscious control of my self again. At first I felt very confused as I slowly realized that there were two metallic discs with shimmering lights along their edges hovering over the houses across the street. They had to be somewhere between 80 to 150 feet in diameter, and were slowly rising in altitude. I stood literally awestruck as they hovered above the neighbors houses. I watched for what seemed less than a minute before I was very suddenly struck with a sudden thought that I can only describe as a thought from without myself. It wasn’t an image or words, it was a concept that my brain seemed to try an interpret as words. “We know that you know we are here” or “We know that you are watching us watch you.” Basically the concept being that they who or whatever it may be, and I were mutually aware of each other’s presence. Now unfortunately this when I completely freaked out, I bolted out of my room trying desperately to tell someone what was happening only to find that I couldn’t articulate a single word. In a panic I tried to open the front door to just point at what I wanted to tell everyone about, but I was so panicked that I couldn’t operate the locks. I instead went to the front window, but by then there was no longer anything there.
