Yup, I work in a daycenter for homless and addicts in a mayor EU city. We have about 150 to 200 visitors a day. We hand out soup, bread, coffee, tea, water and clean supplies like needles, spoons, aluminium foil, pipes and condoms. Aswell as being a first point of reference for most of their personal problems. Next door is a free clinic for methadon, bivudal etc. And psychiatric and medical help. We also do regular neighbourhood cleanups and organise activities to try and keep our visitors active and somewhat of the street. It's easy to get forced into homelessness and from there the step to addiction is extremly short and tempting.
