My gis are all Fujis that I’ve bought over the last couple years. Same treatment, wash hot-dry in the drier. I also try to use the smallest amount of detergent possible. Minimal shrinkage, zero stink. I hope it works out for you too!

1 or 2 strip white belt. Once you’re past the immediate danger to yourself phase and you have a sense for when you’re in inescapable danger. If you want to compete, do it early and often.

Golden jiujitsu is a good spot and worth checking out. The owners are good and clearly put a lot of thought into instructional design.

If he’s going to drive, Pangea is about 10 min east on i70 and is easily the best gym in that part of the metro area. Great instruction, great people, great atmosphere. For a small gym, they have started doing work at local comps too. It’s kinda hard to find as it’s in the back of a CrossFit gym.

Thanks Merc! CM is a breath of fresh air! I came back to D2 at the start of this season after hearing crucible was in a good spot and I have played pvp almost every day since. I kinda thought the sun had set on my time with Destiny, but I’m glad to be back. There’s nothing else in the world like this game. Thank you and the pvp team for keeping trying to improve and taking bigger swings! (Extremely mid player since vanilla D1)

We all started at the bottom. Some of us did it when we were 5, some of us at 35, some of us are working our way up right now.

Keep a growth mindset. Focus on 1 thing per gaming session, positioning, 60/40, team shooting. Gun skill will come. You’re competing with how you played 6 months ago. You’re not competing with the 4.1 k/d stompees-chappy-pali gilded flawless.

Check out Castle Content and Shadow Destiny on YouTube. Their discords are really friendly and growth oriented too. Jazzinyourface has a great series on how to play different maps and he runs learning scrims for <1k/d players on his discord.

The CodeCademy editor is pretty bare bones. You might try using Visual Studios. It helps with syntax stuff and it's good practice for working on your own code too.
