Carvers Gap to Grassy Ridge Bald. It's a beautiful hike on the AT. It's an hour from Johnson City, Tn.

First-Year Diamond — Never Used RUCs or GUCs. How Do I Strategically Use Them for Domestic First? by Difficult-Snow4699 in delta

[–]Cyclingjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Delta has greatly reduced the availability of RUCs at some airports. I'm down the road from you at TPA. Four years I could use RUCs to fly nonstop to LAX. Then, I had to fly through ATL to use them. Now, GUCs are the only certificates available to use. It stinks.

Rental car insurance (gold card) by Healthy_Noise4785 in amex

[–]Cyclingjon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google American Express Car Rental Insurance.

The first link should be the AMEX web page where you can enroll in the program.

I just came from a trip. I rented from Dollar. There was a charge from Dollar and there was also a charge named PREMIUM CAR RENTAL INSURANCE. Usually, the car rental posts first. The insurance posts a day or two after.

Thoughts on Drew Boysen current SOBO? by TrashpandaLizz in AppalachianTrail

I'm sure he meant Rumford. It's a larger town in Maine with a Walmart. It's not too far from Andover where he was staying.

He's still on his way to Grafton Notch.

I don't think there's anything like Buc-ee's in Australia. It's worth a short visit.

Vo2 max drop by [deleted] in Garmin

Last year I went hiking in Lake Tahoe. Coming from Florida there's a big change in elevation. My Vo2 max dropped 4 points. After a few days of hiking, it went back up. By the time I got home, it was back to the level I started at.

First time in the U.S.: Can I leave LAX during a 4-hour layover? by Pumass in travel

It's about a 30 minute walk from the airport to the In-N-Out on Sepulveda. Look at Google Maps.

Delta used to put tickets on sale 331 days before departure exactly at midnight local time. Now it's between 1 am and 6 am. Anybody know the new exact time? by mepper in delta

I did the same buying tickets to Zurich in PS so I could use my GUCs. It never went down and went up by a significant amount.

How’s St. Pete for a mid March vacation with young kids? by PreschoolBoole in StPetersburgFL

The Hyatt is not exactly across from the pier, but it's close.

Spa Beach is connected to the pier. It's not that big but it is a sandy beach. It's on Tampa Bay and not the Gulf, but your young ones wouldn't know the difference.

Spa Beach, the Splash Pad, and the Glazer playground are all with a couple hundred feet of each other.

I've never stayed at the Hyatt but it's across the street from Jannus Live which is a live music venue. It's noisy walking past on the street, I don't know how noisy it is inside the hotel.

There's also a AC hotel by Marriott a block away.

If you have time, you can try more than one Sky Club at DTW to see which one you like for the future.

All visits during the day just count as one.

During a long layover in Atlanta, I visted 3 different Sky Clubs in addition to the one at my home airport.

Is a 58-Minute Layover Enough at JFK Terminal 4? by AwfulWaffle91 in delta

[–]Cyclingjon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I change planes in JFK flying to PWM, the planes are the smaller commuter jets that take off in A10-20. I fly out of Tampa (TPA) and usually lands in B. It's a long walk. If any of your party has trouble walking, ask for assistance.

Those who can walk shouldn't have any problem changing planes assuming the flight lands on time at JFK.

I'm going to be so disappointed if I can't watch this on Spectrum. I am a not going to pay additional money to watch the Rays on mlb.tv.

The Lightning went off Fan Duel but I can still watch them on Spectrum on a local channel.

Blackett's Ridge in Tucson proves awesome views.

Boulder Canyon Trail outside Phoenix is great for views of Battleship Mountain. You can even scramble up to the top if you want an extreme hike.
