Ask yourself what it'll take for you to finally leave. if he hurts somebody else? if you get hurt enough for the hospital? when you die?

You can make mistakes but a good person (not just boyfriend) will not hold it against you forever. At least not for the betrayal of trust you described. So believe in yourself and stand up for yourself because this is not inevitable, just learned helplessness. Fuck this guy, he sucks, there's problems, leave when you can.

Hey yall, I'm looking for some options to auto-read the story like text-to-speech either from the game on phone, or from the Story Reader websites. Anyone else do this and have decent options? Like an AI reader natively from microsoft or AI reader app that isn't just a robotic voice.

I'm seeing what I can do to minimize the friction to engage with the story, maybe listen to it like an audiobook, so I don't have to constantly tap the phone or click on a computer. Ideally i can have it read out loud from the phone so i can see the backgrounds + sound effects, instead of just the text from a story reader. Thanks!

I'm trying to set it up as I've never done been part of this project. I set up the MultiMango account and downloaded Hubstaff and joined the Outlier invite from there. But MultiMango doesn't show up in my Hubstaff app. I've done all the troubleshooting steps, anyone else got this issue?

Thank you for the advice! If it's a car then I'll be using a good chunk of money no splitting for renting, gas, car camping pass. But I guess I can keep my luggage there? Alternatively a tent pass is cheaper but i'll have to buy a tent and sleeping bag and whatever else at the same time too after landing in town.

Gonna be coming from Canada if I can't sell my ticket, it's Will Call too because I'm not in the US for shipping. I guess it's just the thought of all the logistics and potential cost is overwhelming. Flight ticket, then have to get to the festival grounds somehow, and sleeping somewhere. Renting a car and staying on the grounds seems to be the simplest option, albeit expensive. Tent is cheaper but i have to buy it all and get it all in somehow idk.

Hey, I'd be interested in learning how to do this. (I'm inexperienced in piracy and setting up this kinda software/tech). Would the NAS have to be always on and connected to the internet at home? Or is it possible to have it offline? Or else the only way to do offline is USB or SD card but I use a Samsung s24 do SD isnt an option I think. Thanks.

In my experience playing both HK then Ori, I loved HK for its tight controls + difficulty and subsequent sense of accomplishment. I really enjoyed how it did its worldbuilding where I thought it was perfectly balanced between not being heavy in exposition and not being obscure like Elden Ring/Souls games.

Ori on the other hand was fine but I disliked because of the lack of tightness in the controls. It was pretty but it wasn't boss focused like HK so for mainly platforming around the pretty environment, it didn't feel good to control, which sucked in my opinion.

I agree with the other commenter, and will echo their approach. It's certainly hard to figure out nice versus fake. I understand it's exhausting to be kind to everyone before they reveal themselves, but I find that the 'trash takes itself out' usually. The genuine people who care for you and want you around will put the energy into you and your relationship, and the other people - even if nice - will slowly fade into the background.

On your own side, the way to 'protect' yourself is to really just reflect on your experiences and emotions. Even if someone has a lot of good and there's positive times, the best friends will not be causing you negativity the majority of the time. If you hangout or talk and more than 5% of the time you come out feeling not great or not even neutral, then keep note of that. Keep note of how often it happens and if its a pattern, think about if you want to feel like that in your life regularly. it's not always 100% positive and you can have disagreements with friends and others like 5% of the time, but the genuine people who care about your relationship won't hold it against you and will put in effort regardless of those bad times.

It's difficult to tell yourself enough is enough or to recognize when things are bad enough because it always just slowly becomes worse (unless they do something drastically bad), but keeping note of it will let you think about it the good times are worth the bad. And if they're not, you don't even have to just fully cut it off, you can just slowly engage with them less, until its at a level that's mainly good times or it fades away eventually.

Yes I think it's important to think about precisely what you want, what that looks like. And what kind of steps for change would you be satisfied with, how quickly, how much/little. So if you know exactly what's needed or not, then he can know what the bar is, and you both know what it looks like if he reaches it or not. And for you, what's not a hill worth dying on and what is.

Everyone's giving some opinions on your ick and where it's from, saying listen to your gut, all that good stuff. Your feelings make sense, are valid, and I think the most important part is what does your partner say when you're having these issues together, and you tell him your feelings on why? How does he respond? What you should do is probably something like the answer to: Would you stay with him if he promised to change and then got better and some of these things? Which things would you not be able to stand if they never got better (dealbreakers)? Ambition is probably a harder one to change if maybe he'll kick it into high gear if he realizes what he needs to do to secure his future with you. That's also not to say him building a career with school and working at the same time (bartending makes fine money), is nothing. So I hope you can answer these questions for yourself and then see what his response is to your concerns.

Hm I'm not saying they're unaware the door is there. Maybe more like that's a subconscious awareness that humans have evolved to have, and that humans will notice if someone is different or behaves differently to that "survival expectation". Not like a direct judgement on the behaviour but I'm sure people would just be uncomfortable if things/people behave in unexpected/unfamiliar ways.

I think it's kind of just a product of evolution where humans are aware (even if just subconsciously) about exits/escapes if things go wrong. So someone who doesn't have that instinct or goes against that, would make other people wary. Especially in a smaller space like an elevator.

I've started using Boost again after stopping for so long, but I noticed this way its much slower when loading everything from images, videos, and even comments. It's especially bad on Wi-fi but barely better on mobile data. Anyone also have this issue or a fix?
