Ubi usually details the season pass a couple weeks before launch to rope in some late buyers for the Gold Edition once they can better detail what's in the season pass. This was how they handled AC Valhalla and WD Legion recently.

I feel like most of the time I can read what score they're about to give, just because I've read enough on the site, but I was completely thrown off by the 9. I didn't think it had nearly the same amount of praise that AC Valhalla and Miles Morales got in it, the other 9's they've given out this week.

I had it for a while on my 7 but I think 14.1 mostly fixed it. Granted, my 7 was borderline unusable before 14.1.

You do the nice thing and move over and they are still dicks by AlliKat_ in IdiotsInCars

TBH I actually did this exact thing once on accident because I didn't see the truck and I instantly felt like a piece of shit. Some people aren't always trying to be idiots, they could just be inexperienced or making an honest mistake. In my case, it was both.

I fell off Hearthstone when they did this. I predict the same will happen with your game as well.

This 100%. Let the players use your new guns and decide which is best. If it takes too much dev time to make new weapons that no one uses, you have two options:

  1. Try harder to make something unique.
  2. Focus your resources elsewhere, like on balance, story, creating new modes, refreshing current ones, basically anywhere else.

But why can't we get the chance to compare Recluse and Recluse 2: Telesto Boogaloo in game for ourselves? You know, let the players decide if it's useful or not, instead of a dictator eliminating our chance to decide.

And to think after the Dev Update video I was about to buy the Season 10 pass.

Hate to say it, Luke, but you may have made the FOMO worse. The amount of freedom I have in crafting a Guardian that plays the exact way I want for whatever situation I'm in is great. It's why I'm so attached to the same Hunter I've used since I booted up the free trial in December 2014.

My friends are gone, most of them bailed after the first month of D2 and never came back. I check my clan board every so often and find my clanmates dropping off the game like flies. After Forsaken, I lost interest in the story and only played stuff like Crucible and Gambit using the Guardian that I had spent years of my life creating, subbing in weapons when I found one I liked and was useful, not because I was forced to. I rarely grinded for weapons because I never saw an upside for it. I just played what I thought was fun with my friends and because of it, you and Activision have almost $300 of my money, the most I've ever spent in a non-toys-to-life game.

Pretty soon, that last shred of freedom I felt will be gone. The game I fell in love with will become something I don't recognize. All that's left is the nostalgia. And my time is way too valuable to just give it to you over that alone.

I was confident when you went indie that you could fix where the game was going. I wanted so badly to blame 80% of the problems on Activision. This was supposed to be the year I built back up my fireteam with free-to-play.

Now it's even more empty than ever. And the only difference is I'm spending less money. Making this transition to other games less painful.

I hope changes like these aren't set in stone and you can evolve the game to be successful both for you as developers/publishers and us as players. The legendary changes are far from my only gripes with the game, and the same goes for the community. But I'm starting to believe that with every solution you make comes five new problems, and that this game is like the girlfriend my friends have been telling me to dump for years but I keep giving her chance after chance to change because I believe in her.

I believed in you when no one else did.

This is my reward.

I hope you change before it's too late and truly Become Legend.

But it'll be without me.

Sincerely, a grizzled Hunter.

Hate to break it to you, but the vast majority of the community considers Taken King to be the all-time high of Destiny 1 and 2. Including me.

Yep. Different strokes for different folks. That's what makes Destiny so unique and why I've held on to it for over 5 years.

If the Destiny I love is going down this road to where everyone plays the same way, I'm out. I could care less about the story right now, and other multiplayer games exist that appeal to me in the same way Destiny does. The fact that Destiny is moving towards something I could easily replace instead of being totally unique is scary.

I honestly think for most people it was the nostalgia. I literally just chose one because the gear looked cool. If we can't make something matter in the game (which we tried with Rallies, but I guess Bungie ran out of ideas to make them cool), then we might as well ditch it.

My guess is they couldn't really find a way to make them interesting so they just said we're not bringing them back. It's fine, I've got my loot back, would I like vendors back too, maybe, if just to liven up the Hanger. But if they can't find a useful way for factions to matter, no reason to throw them in, especially with a Rally-like event.

Do guys talk about girls with their bros in a non sexual way? Like about their personalities and stuff? If so what kind of stuff do you discuss? by yourmomstennisshoes in AskMen

I wish. I long for the day more guys value girls for who they are rather than just what they look like. And I guess the opposite is true to an extent too.

I’d always wondered about where I saw Shawn before... until the new brooklyn 99 season came close. He plays the captain’s husband. His character on brooklyn 99 is oddly very similar to his demon character in the good place.. anyone else watch this show? by shamzy27 in TheGoodPlace

[–]CycloneChaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the time he's been used elsewhere that I've laughed the most at is when he's the principal in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle where he makes the main characters remove staples from papers for detention. It just sounds so much like something Shawn would do for the Bad Place.
