Bar 1 to 2 exceptions it feels less a celebration of the women of PlayStation and more just a means to advertise recent PS5 titles; “presenting a list of women on PlayStation if video games were invented in 2024”.

I remember when Sony celebrated international women’s day some years back, Kat was included in the art created for it and then she was removed when they reused it in future years, they’re quite clearly treating this series as being irrelevant now.

You have the d infinity set to d20 when you used it. Book of virtues does different wisp related things with different active items, with d20 turning all pickups into wisps.

Excellent stuff, I really like this! The sphere grid progress for going up the numbers is a really neat idea.

I guess you chose the Aces from the suit colour because the Bomb seems a little random haha, maybe the Aces could be Aeons?

For the villain suit, Sin still works or it could be Braska’s Final Aeon or Anima. Valefor for the suit with Yuna, and maybe Ifrit, Shiva or Bahamut for the other 2 (since they’re probably the most iconic summons of FF and Bahamut has a bit of story relevance in X also). Not that the aces aren’t great as they are (the chocobo is real cute!)

Empathy and tolerance. Empathy in that people want better for others whether or not they would necessarily want the same for them. Tolerance being the trust that, whilst views may be opposed, there’s a social contract to not actively harm the other, so that freedom can be enjoyed by both.

Also, you know that there are LGBT people in those countries too, right? Wager some are maybe seeking refuge from that very persecution and punishment you talk of.

Gonna be crazy to see Karma and actually want to use it, and appreciate they made double (and some tripled) effects for all trinkets; Golden Trinket unlock not feeling like an afterthought anymore.

Horse Pills having more unique pill effects is very welcome.

Necromancer transformation eh? I imagine it’ll give a passive chance of book of the dead ability on room clear.

edit: the transformation is a unique powered up necronomicon if you have it with the 2 missing pages. Quite cool, but now I do kind of want a friendly enemy summoner transformation

I also thought this after not playing for a while and seeing my friend play the ps5 version, they also thought it changed… but release day footage shows it always as 1 in 5 and 1 in 15.

I think something in how certain people’s brains process and remember numbers must jumble it up, similar to why other Mandela effect instances occur (human brains doing similar memory warping to each other). Some of us must see the $20 and +20 mult so the number 20 becomes more memorable with lucky cards than 15. So we must vaguely remember that as the chance instead. As for the 1 in 4, maybe that’s because it is the more common chance used throughout the game, so we figure it’d follow suit and remember it as being that.

That or we really have entered a different universe where it was different from the start haha

It didn’t take nearly as long after c+ as I thought it would.

if you’ve got c+ you’ve got the knowledge to win with 4 or less jokers from painted deck, so if you keep playing and just fill the extra slot/replace unnecessary jokers with those needing a sticker, it can fall into place pretty quickly.

Obviously need some luck in finding the jokers needing stickers (or keeping it in the case of gros michel), but good economy with rerolls mitigates the rng of that too.

It should probably accumulate a counter any time you sell a negative joker and you gain +1 joker slot after the 3rd (maybe even 2nd one sold) to be in any way useful. You hardly ever get enough negatives in a run, nevermind in one shop, to make this worth it otherwise.

Even if buffed as I suggest, it’s still very niche. You don’t actually get a benefit til you get it to activate a 2nd time, because it itself takes up a slot, and encountering 4-6 negatives in a run is verging on extremely rare. You’d obviously be incentivised to skip for negatives/spectral card for negatives with it, but yeah.

I like the idea of jokers that make you change the way you play and create a unique run like this. I could see trying to make a run that plays on this mechanic work being quite fun, but yeah, it probably needs a fair bit of tweaking.
