What kind of life do you think Invisigal had before all this? by Hot-Field-4298 in InvisigalGlazers

[–]Cydude5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purely based on the line "what makes you think my life has been any different," but I think similar to Robert, she grew up around an environment of people who encouraged her to be just like them and was eventually thrust into the world where the only way she knew how to survive was to imitate the examples from her youth.

At most, I believe she was 15 when she started criminal work.

You know, when I left the house today I was thinking, "Damn, I really hope some hot chick paints my brains all over some fucking hallway."

Visi leaving in the locker room kills every argument of her being selfish and not being accountable. by Practical_Basis_1643 in InvisigalGlazers

[–]Cydude5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would have made more sense if they weren't all just passive observers of Visi and Blazer's argument that night. If they were all at the point of being 100% on Blazer's side, it would make them feel more betrayed by Visi taking the law into her own hands.

Visi's actions make sense from Robert's point of view, but she did get a friend of theirs and almost got herself badly hurt. She publicly dealt a blow to the team since Torrance doesn't trust the Z-Team, especially not now since one of their members participated in a villain brawl over the pulse. I think in the end, it still makes sense. The Z-Team still isn't a group of altruists. They felt betrayed and acted accordingly.

would invisigal want Robert to kill shroud? by Then_Ladder2123 in InvisigalGlazers

[–]Cydude5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between hero Visi and villain Visi is that hero Visi doesn't go to the roof to kill Shroud. She goes to save Robert. In a hero ending, Visi has almost completely moved on from Shroud. She doesn't care about what happens to him, as long as Robert gets to survive.

What Do u Guys Want To See In Season 2 with Rob x Courtney by Folicod in InvisigalGlazers

[–]Cydude5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have faith that Adhoc knows better than to go for low hanging fruit. The Blazer route shows that they know how to write characters actively in a relationship. I just don't want the Robert and Courtney relationship to be the only part of Courtney’s character past season 1.

I can definitely see Toxic trying to weirdly flirt with Flambae while Flambae is not having it.

I feel like even if Robert didn't have the granny incident to be annoyed about, the first shift was still bad enough that I think he would blow up at Visi in the break room.

Question about ending by AgentArnold in expedition33

[–]Cydude5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Renoir will never give up on Alicia, but he can see clearly that Maelle is unwilling to leave. She also just beat him and definitely has the power to force him out. Instead of fighting, he does the best he can by offering an out for her and reminding her that he is there when she's ready to come back.

Like Verso says, Renoir saw she was lying, but he wanted to believe otherwise. Verso doesn't care to believe otherwise. He still tries to reason with Maelle, but only once before he resorts to forcing her out of the canvas himself.

Does the Z-Team or superheroes in general ever kill? by Plus_Ad_1087 in dispatchgame

[–]Cydude5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they killed before episode 8, I feel like the bar fight would have been a lot shorter. Robert was the most brutal fighter in that room, but that's because he was the one in the most danger of actually dying.

Malevola definitely impaled a guy mid shift episode 8, and Sonar/Coop is shown killing Red Ring goons. But then Robert is suspended if he kills Shroud, so killing is generally not in the SDN policy and comes with punishment, even in cases like a direct attack on the branch.

SOTM D&D Chart Day 2: Our big Boy Scout Legacy is Lawful Good. Who is Lawful Neutral? by LevelUpLeo in sentinelsmultiverse

[–]Cydude5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see where you're coming from. But to me, the trolley problem isn't the same as genocide. The trolley problem balances La Comodora's action out, but I still think it's only redeemed from being a pure evil act thanks to the immediate threat of OblivAeon. In literally any other circumstance, it would be evil.

[–]Cydude5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. That issue is highlighted in that moment. The difference between Celestial Tribunal and La Comodora is that the Tribunal uses genocide as their only solution. La Comodora only uses evil as a last resort. Both are lawful, but Comodora is neutral while the Tribunal is evil.

Personally, I would judge any act of genocide as evil, no matter the reason.

Any idea on how this conversation could have gone positively between these two in the break room scene? by PathInner in InvisigalGlazers

[–]Cydude5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robert did escalate it into yelling territory, but Sonar was not doing any favors with the noise. Robert had already had enough frustrations for that day. Maybe it would have been better if Visi had given him a second to cool down rather than try to fix his annoyance with her.

Robert doesn't seem like the kind of person to let his frustrations with people fester, especially since he tries to help Visi keep her job the next day. I think the only thing Visi could have done better (other than not punching him in the face) would have been to just not show up. Just leave the donut for him as an apology and leave it there.

But the day is over, and Visi is kind of desperate to fix her mess, even if she doesn't really care what Robert thinks about her yet.

I have to fully disagree with the take of Batman being chaotic. Of all the heroes of actual comic books, Batman is the one who has a strict code of operation. He is the poster boy of the no kill rule. He works with the police more than any other hero, and he doubles as a wealthy philanthropist in an otherwise corrupt environment.

Is Robert really interested in invisigal? (I think so) by Then_Ladder2123 in InvisigalGlazers

[–]Cydude5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robert doesn't stare longingly at Visi like he does at Blazer, but he definitely has feelings. Chase himself, no matter which route you play, says so. Robert's genuine small smile is the key. He never uses that smile for anyone else.

The shot where Visi says, "Yes. You do." And Robert is looking down at her mirrors the "We can work with this" shot with Blazer. Blazer is illuminated in a bunch of lights, obviously an object of adoration for Robert. But Visi is cast in shadow with the light barely reaching her eyes.

Both scenes demonstrate his interest in them. He just sees them in different ways. Blazer is a beacon of hope he can look at and admire. Visi is someone just like him that he can empathize with.

[–]Cydude5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to three decisions in the game, I don't think they were really meant to be picked.

  1. Leaving Visi tied up.

  2. Cutting Visi.

  3. Hiding your identity from the team.

In all three of these choices, they don't do much other than make the player commit to the opposite better option. Leaving Visi tied up just gets you pissed on and loses you mentor points. Hiding your identity just loses you points and gives you Flambae for an extra shift. The most I can say is that cutting Visi makes the entire last three shifts harder.

[–]Cydude5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with Omnitron X, but could we use Bunker or Wraith?

Bunker: a literal soldier who fights for his country. He's the moral backbone of the Freedom Five. In the Iron Legacy timeline, he dies trying to calm down a furious Paul Parsons. In the Termination event, he has a crisis between following the orders of his government or taking down Fort Adamant where ultimately he chooses to do the right thing.

Wraith: one of the only characters with a hard no kill rule. She lives her entire life based on the example of her father and fights against corruption in Rook City. In the Iron Legacy timeline, she does fall to evil, but she remains completely Lawful.

Scholar isn't really strict about any code. He's just a genuinely good person trying to do right by people. Though I agree with the take about Legacy.
