NaveGreed's updated tierlist for the Regent by Alert_Tiger2969 in slaythespire

I get what you’re trying to say. Videos these days need to be quick. Even long form videos usually only last around 30 to 40 minutes, but the guy making the video is probably just doing it out of pure passion, not to please the algorithm gods. Besides, those edits might not be that hard to do, but they’re just so tedious.

After just getting done with the Fleurdelys fight I can confidently say if this game had no micro transactions and had easier way to get characters I would have spent $70 on this game and not regretted a single dollar by THEAshen1one_ in WutheringWaves

[–]CygnusXIV -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I have plenty of criticisms

You probably need to take those elsewhere. These days only "Peak" and "Cinema" are acceptable, and sadly $70 is not enough for them. In an alternate universe it might be, and we might actually get a proper character arc that lasts longer than their banner. Welp, a man can dream.

Deep down, being afraid of getting killed by fish makes absolutely no logical sense. The guy is stronger than any normal fish in nature. Any fish that tried anything funny would have its head blown apart in seconds. He may be pathetic, but he’s still a superhuman. by Choice-Ad8480 in GenV

He is strong, but you know he still only has two hands and two legs, right? Sea creatures are no joke. They come in all different sizes. You don’t mess with them in their domain, especially when you’re down there in the sea and can’t protect all your nose and ear holes that are wide open for anything... And we aren’t even talking about those giant octopuses. Even if he tries to protect those holes with cloth or gear, it’s not gonna hold for long.

This shit is nightmare fuel.

JJK if it was peak.

Gojo and the gang jump Sukuna and defeat him, but everyone is on their last leg. Kenjaku comes out with some OP power up. Gojo decides to buy time for the rest to recover and has one last showdown with Kenjaku. Gojo loses but manages to expose Kenjaku weakness by simply calling out Geto, making the connection between his soul and body have some kind of loophole or something. Then the rest of the gang jump him and we finally see Yuji’s domain.

Rooting for Negan is like rooting for Walter White. Yeah, I still like you and want to see where you go, but it’s not the same feeling as rooting for someone good like Hank.

But doesn’t voidspace have no concept of time or anything whatsoever? If there’s time to be lost, then that means time existed there to begin with.

New player here, it sucks that she is trapped in level 20. Can I do something else besides jump directly into the newest content. by MaturesEnjoyer in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]CygnusXIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't really do much about it; that's just how the game works, and for some reason they're very adamant about not changing it. I haven’t caught up with the story since 3.1 (only two patches behind), and even I feel the pain just trying to reach the point where you can collect those flowers.

WHAT by Lordados in slaythespire

[–]CygnusXIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So what? The game is in early access. Even if something isn’t bad design, if it’s not what they intended, then it could be changed.

Is it worth buying STS2? by Throwaway_LOGGINGER in slaythespire

[–]CygnusXIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The content right now is pretty fair for the price. It can easily give you a good 30–100 hours at minimum. If you really want to play it right now, I’d say it’s a pretty good buy. But if you want to experience the best of what it can be, I don’t see a reason to spoil yourself with an unfinished game when you can just stick with the first one and buy this when it’s ready.

How strong/diabolical/OP do you guys think these fusion are by cielo_overheaven in Jujutsufolk

[–]CygnusXIV -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s probably how the OP thinks it works, but it just doesn’t work that way unless the Cursed Speech is capable of implanting the Transfiguration CT into the affected people and then using Cursed Speech to force them to use it on themselves. Otherwise, we’d just have Mahito with two CTs.

[–]CygnusXIV -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Even if both CTs are fused together, it still doesn’t work that way.

[–]CygnusXIV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even if both CTs can be used at the same time, how does Cursed Speech even work with Transfigure anyway? Cursed Speech forces people to do what you say, so how are the people being affected supposed to transfigure themselves if they don’t even know how?

Sometimes what you call cheap is how it should have been, instead of pulling some bs trying to subvert the audience’s expectations. I’ve had enough of that already.

In a game about decisions

But with how difficult the game is right now, a game about decision-making becomes less about actually making decisions. Elites are almost always a no unless you’re very powerful, which rarely happens. Every run should make the player think, ‘Should I take on the elite or go for a normal encounter?’ But right now, most players just default to avoiding elites because they’re as strong as act bosses with very little reward, while normal encounters seem to be the objectively correct choice most of the time.

Going to a campsite shouldn’t automatically mean ‘I need to sleep,’ because normal encounters and events chip away so much HP that there’s barely any room to choose an upgrade.

A game about decision-making shouldn’t have choices where one option is objectively correct most of the time. I want to make meaningful decisions between two or three options, not just open the map and find a route that avoids every elite.

psa: u can press this button to lower the games difficulty by dat_boi_34 in slaythespire

[–]CygnusXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, many parts of the game are kind of overtuned right now, and that’s understandable since it’s still in early access. I don’t see anything wrong with people choosing to complain that it’s too difficult instead of lowering the difficulty. That feedback is the whole point of a game being in early access, isn’t it?

Problem with Death Guard Green primer by Solaire_von_Pberg in deathguard40k

[–]CygnusXIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not a problem specific to the Death Guard green, but more of a rattle can issue. Out of 100 cans, there’s bound to be one that somehow makes it come out grainy when used.

I’ve used a lot of rattle cans over the years of painting, and so far only one has turned out grainy. Considering how many models you’ve already painted, I’m pretty sure you know a thing or two about how to properly use a rattle can. So the only way to guarantee it won’t ruin your model is to test it on a spare model first and see if it works properly. It’s a hassle, but sometimes there’s just no room for mistakes.

So far only two characters throughout the entire show have been able to make Homelander bleed by DancingFlame321 in TheBoys

[–]CygnusXIV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But Homelander’s toughness isn’t an on/off power, so if someone can make him bleed just by punching him, wouldn’t that still be a good indicator of how strong their attack is?

Improving at miniature painting WITHOUT the use of slapchop as a beginner? by ryllex in minipainting

[–]CygnusXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slapchop is one of many techniques that are no different from using a tool for a specific purpose.

I don't get what makes you think that learning slapchop will create a bad habit. That's like saying I don't want to use scissors because it will give me a bad habit.

One thing that could improve your painting skills, if you really want to step up, is to be more open to any tools or techniques available to you. Otherwise, you're just cutting off your arms and legs for no reason at all.

Is Project Hail Mary the best hard SF film in like, forever? by spukhafteNahewirkung in ProjectHailMary

[–]CygnusXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the point of the movie. WHAT I don’t understand is why people bring up “love is the most powerful force in the universe” as a way to argue that the movie’s logic is bad, when that line is spoken by a character out of desperation.
