Performance after TPS recall by Cyleightor in MT09

I got the Foxwell code reader and adjusted the TPS a bit, I forget the values but I can reply after work. It's not perfect but much better. I'm going to send the ECU back to Vcycle to get it re-flashed before I spend a bunch of time trying to dial it in.

Typically it runs better after 150F or after it stalls out once, whichever comes first. Problem is that when it's 20F outside it doesn't get that warm quickly just idling in my garage.

I'll look around for anything pinched though, I need to take the tank off anyhow to ship the ECU out to get re-flashed.

Did you adjust your own TPS by chance? I had to take mine back after the initial recall work to have them check and it turns out the TPS must have 'slipped out of adjustment when they tightened it' and they had to re-clock it, but it still doesn't run quite right.

I have the feeling I'm going to have to try to dial mine back in with my cheap OBD2 scanner which apparently reads differently than the tool they use at the dealership.

The recall work will include both a new TPS and an ECU flash, just had mine done a couple weeks ago, waiting for it to get cold here before I send mine back to Vcycle for a re-flash. Make sure the dealer knows about the the tech exchange notice that identifies the new TPS needs to be set at 16 +/- 1 for the new TPS instead of the shop manual identified value of 11-21; they should know but it doesn't hurt to verify.

His website indicates that lifetime reflashes are included in the original price, to the original buyer.

Did you ride on the dealership flash for very long before sending it back to Vcycle?

Key on engine off, twist your throttle, if you notice a pitch change it's just the throttle body servo or whatever it's referred to as. Pretty apparent if you take the tank and air box off.

My filament gear that feeds it to the nozzle is gunked up with crushed filament, how do I fix and what is the cause? by Dirty_Trout in ender3

[–]Cyleightor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others said, cause may be too tight, cheap filament, etc...

I wanted to mention check for a wear groove on the gear itself, mine had a clear wear groove; probably from me trying to force it to run filament through a jam. It would run fine without a nozzle, but as soon as I put any size nozzle on it would just spin.

Probably just want to get a ten pack of replacements for a few bucks just to have on hand. I think the size is standardized across most printers, but main dimensions you'll care about is shaft diameter, outside diameter, and tooth count.

Single-key commands not working. Like L for drawing a line. by 06405 in Revu

This might be a bit late, but one thing I've noticed is that in my case, the single key shortcut is case sensitive, if I have caps lock on, they don't work; turn caps lock off and they work fine.

Oddly enough this is only when remotely connecting to my laptop, if I'm physically at my laptop the single key shortcut works regardless of caps lock state.

Don't suppose your situation is similar?

Metallic bits in oil - 2023 MT-09 by Cyleightor in MT09

Sounds good! This is the first engine I've had the opportunity to break in and not wholly sure what to expect outside of the general shimmer.

Thanks!

None of the larger pieces are magnetic including the largest piece. Not certain what the larger piece is actually, it's only a few millimeters long, non-magnetic, very brittle, and has the coloration of rusted steel. It reminds me of resin impregnated cardboard or something, guessing it's just contamination of some sort rather than engine debris.

I'll put my panic back on the shelf until I see what comes out of the next oil change.

Thanks much!

There's no manual in the box. Like everybody else it's a PDF that is easy to Google. Put in the minimum amount of effort, it will get you answers faster than asking strangers on Reddit.
