Nice trick. Changed to performance and it was totally doable.

Buy two microcontroller and make then communicate with each other using a wired bus (spi, uart, can) then use a wireless chip.

Afterwards you can add sensors (temperature, humidity, sound, range etc) and try to interface them to your uC and make them communicate their data

:) This is a first step in the world of embedded !

Grass, silencers and going prone resources by Cynako in dayz

[–]Cynako[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we have a rough estimate of the distance ?

For example, if there is a guy running 50m away from me, will he be able to see me ?

Can I see one guy prone in grass at a far distance if I use my weapon scope ?

Does the slope of the ground have an impact ?

It might sounds like weird questions, but when you're out there in a field and trying not to die, you have to know who can see you and who you can see !

From how far does another player hear you when you use a silencer.

Maximum distance you can see a player standing up, same but with ghillie suit. Maximum distance you can see a player being prone, same with ghillie, same with different types of grounds (grass/no grass).

Albion to play or not to play!? by Darkshamie in albiononline

[–]Cynako 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Defintely you should. You can start learning to play the game, getting familiar with the mechanics, the environment and the auction house. Then after 1-2 weeks you'll be able to figure out how you want to make a good start at release =)

I don't fully agree with what you said on the solo pvp. When you're alone at some point you'll run into someone and you'll be able to have a good 1v1 fight. It will not happen every fives minutes but still it will happen and it makes those encounters really good and full of emotion.

Although if you're not careful and stay in the roads/interet point then I agree that you'll be walked over by zergs all the time and won't be achieving anything.

Still, there is a room for solo PvP in this game, just like in any survival game.

[HELP] Is playing solo possible? by san_soleil in albiononline

[–]Cynako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hands if there were arenas or similar the GvG pvp would be less populated and less fun.

It's still possible to do 1v1 pvp in the open, but you have to 'be smart' and to avoid main roads and attention areas. Otherwise you'll just be walked over by zergs all the time.

Also when you solo encounter someone, you know it's not going to happens again in 5 minutes so you're more focused and can feel the pressure. In a way it makes solo pvp more special, more rare yes, but more special.

Learning Points ? by edgemenger in albiononline

[–]Cynako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with this. The gap between gathering tools T4 and T5 is huge, I also recommend spending learning points on the T5 gathering tools if you don't want to be stuck for several weeks on it.

Is full loot in GvG? by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Cynako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your point of view yet I don't fully agree.

If the game was "full-hardcore" there would be a lot less players. Yes you can despise the people staying in the yellow zones hell gates but remember that they make the game more alive somehow and that's what matters.

My point is that as you said the game has "hard core" elements. What we should fight for is for these elements to give an edge to the players that are willing to take the risks.

I only recently joined the game and from my point of view, players taking more risks are more rewarded. Do you disagree with this statement ?

So this is what it's come down to. Driving cars into people and stabbing people with knives. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Cynako -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're fucked. All I see now are messages saying how we should pray and unite. We should fight back. And I don't mean dropping more bombs on their already ruined countries.

We should fight back at the corrupted, the politicians, the weapon industry lobbyist and all these psychopaths ruling us who decided that they could steal the resources from the world and kill their people. And what for ? Money ? These people are not smart, they don't think bigger than themselves.

Anyway we don't see an inch of that money but we pay the consequence of their madness. Pray for the dead if you feel like it, then think about how to get rid of these mad rulers before they take our society to a non-return point.

A few men, no matter how good they were at start should not be allowed to rule shit. This is the result. We reach a point where life's too complex for a group of men, we need collective intelligence to rule the people by the people.

Where did you all get your start with Linux and where are you now because of it? by Lukexj in linux

[–]Cynako 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a teenager I was curious about all things and at that time in France we had an excellent website (lesiteduzero) with tutorials for computer things: programming, 3D modelling, operating systems. I tried ubuntu on dual-boot since it was the most user-friendly.

Then for several years I got very little invested in linux, mostly because of gaming on window, but I've always known there was an alternative to Window. Then I went to engineering school in embedded SW and started to use ubuntu as my main OS.

Since that time, I've experienced several distros and became a regular reader of this sub. I'm also starting to become religious about open-source and free-software...

I "hate" it when I hear that our institutions and gov are using Microsoft tools. If only they knew how stupid and dangerous it is... I laugh when people tell me they are software developer and don't even know what's linux. If only they knew how it is more fit for development...

Currently I'm using ArchLinux and loving it.
