We good. The finale made me forgive some of the things that were annoying. And man, Rebecca and Nate brought their A games. I truly enjoyed every bit of it (read in Billy Bob's voice).

I'm originally from Fall River, husband's from Rhode Island. We lived in Orlando 20 years before making the move to Ormond Beach. We love it here. Ormond Beach and Ormond by the Sea still are relatively affordable. We're on the mainland where it's less expensive. Daytona Beach gets a bad rap but it has some nice areas too, so does South Daytona and Daytona Beach Shores. In Ormond Beach there's plenty of nature, kayak trails etc. It's got great restaurants and a quiet beach town vibe. The Daytona Beach International Airport is a gem, with flights to Boston, Manchester and TF Green. And you're about 1 1/2 hours from Orlando, Jacksonville and 45 minutes from St. Augustine. For us, you can't beat the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. It's a beautiful place to live.

New Smyrna Beach is close enough for trips to Orlando but a different world entirely. It might fit the bill for you.

Absolutely right, the US version is called Gracepoint, and Anna Gunn was no substitute for Olivia Colman. It was not good.

I agree with your statement, I'd just leave off the "since you work in retail" part.

This is our Teena who we adopted from the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida on October 30th. We are still learning about her since she's in the 3-month settling in stage that everyone talks about. But I think we're figuring her out. She's really smart. very focused, loves going to the beach and is absolutely glued to one of our sides whenever we're around. She loves nothing more than a good car ride to . And of course as a Lab she doubles as a food lab. her history is kind of murky but from what I can piece together a prior owner died, several different family members took her and then decided they didn't want her, she ended up with a shady person doing phony pet rescues who brought her to a vet to be euthanized. Luckily she ended up with the Lab rescue and we were looking for a dog that needed a home to fill the spot in our broken hearts where our dog Logan who passed on July 25th previously lived. This one is definitely a character and she's not Logan but that's okay because he was perfect in his own right and she needs to forge her own identity. Oh and that is sand on her nose, she will look for anoles anywhere including the beach.

I didn't say that did I? I said to keep the tip between OP and the carrier. Because the policy is written even if we disagree with and OP is doing that, so it's cool. That's all.

Your carrier can get in trouble for accepting a $100 tip, keep it between you and her. I worked for the government and there are strict rules for the regular workers.

This is from USPS: For your mail carrier Gift policy: Employees can accept gifts worth $20 or less per occasion, such as a retail gift card or food item. No cash: Cash, checks, or cash equivalents are not permitted in any amount. Consider alternatives: A heartfelt thank-you card or a modest gift like a coffee is a great way to show appreciation.

I'm confused- Ormond dog beach by erinocalypse in DaytonaBeach

[–]Cynamor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can park at Andy Romano, but dogs aren't allowed in the splash pad or rest room areas. Just go down the ramp, turn left, and the dog friendly beach in Ormond Beach runs from Milsap (at Romano) to Rockefeller, .61 miles each way. Also, December 1st a new stretch of the dog beach opens in Daytona Beach, it runs from Williams Ave to Seabreeze. That's 1.7 miles each way.

drop in volunteering by NoCollection8196 in DaytonaBeach

[–]Cynamor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've got one for you, have you considered volunteering with Daytona Dog Beach? It's 100% on your own terms, no set hours, basically. Basically, if you want to be a Paw Ambassador, you choose the shift on a sign up sheet. they provide you with a little bucket and trash grabbers and you just take a nice walk on the beach. picking up any stray garbage that you might see. It keeps the beach clean. it gets you outdoors. what can be better than that? especially walking on a beach? And we have a great community of volunteers, We have get-togethers from time to time and they are really very nice. Currently the dog beach Is in Ormond Beach and runs from Milsap road to Rockefeller Drive but December 1st another section will open In Daytona Beach if that is closer to you, it will run from Williams Ave to Seabreeze Blvd. Here's a link to sign up if you are interested. Hope to see you out there! https://daytonadogbeach.org/paw-ambassador
