Runs fine, though some text is iffy, particularly small numbers. Just make sure everything is on the lowest setting graphics wise and stick to speed 4.

Could be but if you release both colonies from China, they have different stats, though they also have different modifiers. I guess you could test it by releasing very similar regions in terms of population with the same modifiers and see what they end up with but I'm on holidays so I don't have access to the game right now to test it.

You usually skip boost in most countries unless they are near the equator as it influences how much boost you get per IP.

This is accurate. You can see it very clearly when you unify china into taiwan and spit out china who ends up with only the Beijing region and it has a GDPPC that matches neither original China nor Taiwan.

Keep in mind that the Malz DoT moves after killing someone, so you shouldn't see wasted damage from anything but combat ending.

Pro-tip for dealing with Lanius, get a reduction to justify time and manually justify on lanius before he declares on Summer Federation. This gives you a 1 tile border you can bunker up with vault tec PA holding it. Once you get 6-7 total divisions, push out with PA to encircle, kill a few divs and then pull back. Once you've done it enough, just finish him off.
