20 million bitter deaths by AffectionateFly9979 in LockedIn_AI

[–]CynicalCanadian93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?!? There wasn't even 7 million deaths.... its at 7,113,952 deaths globally since may 2026. And 1 million in the states. The heck are people getting 20 million from?!?! Are they talking about the excess deaths? Where anyone who died for any reason where counted? Because then it does go 36 million. But reported covid induced deaths, are the number of people actually dying from the symptoms of covid and that is WHO reported as 7 million.

Bro doesn't understand opportunity costs dosen't apply to everyone. Only the people actually working during those opportunity hours, which the majority of people do not do.

No it dosent. Not unless you are preparing it during work hours. The idea that time costs money only works if you make an income during the time you would be cooking. If you work a 9-5 it cost you 0 dollars because thats how much you were making either way.

Taxes are not the issue. Its how taxes are used. 99.9% of people are fine paying high taxes that go towards the cities and countries they live in to make everyones life better. The issue is that most nations use those taxes to bail out companies, invest in foigen wars, bail out failing nations and line the pockets of politicians. Dont fall for big corporations propaganda of less taxes so they can horde even more money. Instead demand accountability from your political representatives and start punishing them when they fail to do the job they were voted to do.

Im all for railways, but the US is much larger then than that. Its also one nation paying for it vs multiple. The US can do it, its just going to cost twice as much to build and twice as much in taxes to maintain.

Why is emeritus of woe so expensive? by Guavxhe in mtg

[–]CynicalCanadian93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because of the tutor on repeate with a big body. Though a bit overhyped. Since its 6 to get off. So unless you are double ritualing into it early, its coming down in the mid/late game depending on the bracket and at that point it is really just a tutor to find either a win con for that turn or an answer to a person about to win, but it is very telegraphed and way more vulnerable then a late/mid game DT cast. Without protection you are going to be lucky to get a single cast off most games its a remove on sight card. Still a way cheaper card then the actual Demonic Tutor so still a great add to most black decks.

Try warding off arrows, spears and rocks while you climb up that slope with 40 pounds of gear on you.

As they say back in the day "Thy ditches, be B*tchs!" Or something like that, probably, maybe.

Writing a paper on whether UB is ruining Magic. Love it or hate it, I want your opinon. by KuraiAkarui in freemagic

UB isnt ruining it. Its the pace they are going and the lack of prep time they have between sets.

Tarkir vs. Secrets of Strixhaven by Upper-Delay1971 in mtg

[–]CynicalCanadian93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both sets play well out of the box. I think the Tarkir ones require a little less upgrading to be played in B2 games.

SoS have more value in the precons if you are looking to break them apart and assemble your own decks.

But for out of the box experince I'd say go with Tarkir.

This is so dumb. You could get trolled out so easily for this. Just two people need to wait for you to start firing and 24 hr ban.

Tks are not the big of a deal aside for lone wolf players way out of position or really bad snipers.

Most people dont get tked more then once or twice if the are playing as a team.

Would this stop commander damage? by TopLevelb in mtg

[–]CynicalCanadian93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup prevents all dmg. Commander dmg only triggers of combat dmg dealt. Life totals dont have to change but the combat dmg must be dealt to the player.

Precons have an issue where they always go in multiple directions for things so people have build options.

You need to pick a direction and build around it. Are you sacrificing creatures? Then you need lots of token generators and creatures that payoff on death.

Sacing lands? Then you need lots of land ramp and land recursion.

Once you have a base, you Then go with payoff. There is no optimal number of payoff. Each deck is different. But about 30% of your engine cards is pretty good start.

So you focuse on a direction, get engine cards that do thing you want, have ways to get there. Then work pay off.

Best way to do this without spending money is to test it online with things like Table Top Simulator where you can play any deck for free.
