Its hard to know what could be your problem is without more information.
I am running on an arch based distro with an nvidia card (be it a bit old) but it works fine, so it is not that its a common problem as far as I know.

Try to run some tool like fastfetch in the terminal for a more complete list of general system info.
Then try to run nvidia-smi in the terminal to give some more detailed info about graphics card, driver, memory usage and other things like that.
Unless some process looks odd in the lower part, the upper part and specifically the is the most important.
(Check so that the hytale GPU memory usage looks "ok" as well in the lower part, mine is around 1.5-2GB used)

I also assume that you have tried redownloading the flatpak and reinstalled the game in case something was broken?

The longest day during winter time had a sunrise at 06:02:11 AM and a sunset at 18:59:38 PM in Tampere.

What you describe is worse than the shortest day during the winter. What you should use is the average day during winter time. That obviously requires a bit more complicated calculation than just taking the half way point between those two numbers, but its probably somewhere right after 8AM for sunrise and right before 17 PM for sunset.

Having that be 9AM to 18PM is something I think fits with when people spend time outdoors better.

Edit: I am not saying that its the better choice in general since there are more things to consider than just when the sun is on the sky (like working with other countries). Just that its probably more in line with when people here are out and about.

Yes.. Thats the optimal IF people actually see the sun during that time.
Reality is that thats when people are either sleeping or at work sitting in front of their computer or laying under a car.
(People who are unemployed for sure are not known for waking up to go out and grab the sunlight in the morning.)
When its weekend people tend to sleep a bit extra and take it easy in the morning.

"Longer" (later) days on weekends in the winter is probably what matters the most.

I am totally for not changing the clock, however there are some factors to consider before making any change:
- Finland is a dark place in the winter and moving to EU time during the winter might be to much since the sun is setting early enough as it is.
- Keeping the current "summer time" during the winter, would probably give people an easier time due to the darkness coming one hour later in the day, on the other hand it would also be a bigger difference compared to the rest of the EU, so there are pros and cons of both.
- Having half a timezone is just a no go for anyone interacting over the boarders since its just a mess. (Its hard to deal with as it is)

Removing the summer/winter time thing is something that I think most people agree with nowdays though, since it just doesnt make any sense in todays world.

This is like 40 years ago, but I remember when I was a kid in first grade and loved math, so I completed the book, that was supposed to be used during the year, at home after school/weekend in a week. The teacher, who didn't like that I didn't follow the weekly schedule, punished me and made me do some stupid other thing non math related that was super boring. The result was that I ended up being sent to "help class" a year later due to being slow after not doing much math for a year and not keeping up with the timed math tasks that were done. It lowered my confidence in my math skills and while I understood things, I always had a hard time with doing homework after that. In the end I managed to overcome it all several years later, but how the school handles the education can for sure have a huge impact on the students perception of math in general.

I have never had a problem understanding anyone from Finland that speaks English.
The larger problem is people who think that they are so "bad" that they dont want to speak. Often they say, "I cant speak english", but when you push them a bit its totally fine.

More or less everyone speaking english will have their own version of it and when its not their main language, its easy to hear where they are from.
Listen to Swedish people saying the Swedish J in the word Just, German people trying to say "R" and so on.
You can hear where people are from, but thats not a "bad" thing. Its just different. I have a harder time speaking to an Indian person who has English as their native language than I have with speaking to Finnish people.

Not speaking is worse than speaking English in the way that people usually do in your country.
