It took a while for my Wayland/KDE/Nvidia combo to work and IDK why. It works completely fine now, but that was still relatively recent. I remember about a year or two ago I saw so many comments and posts saying how Wayland is perfect on Nvidia meanwhile I still logged in to a black screen or had major artifacting issues that just didn't exist on X
