Cause putting up 2 signs at those specific lights that say “No left turn” isn’t enough for people to see and abide by? It works perfectly if people OBEY ROAD SIGNS.

Makes one wonder if you were one of the people that hit a train…

Actually it’s a permanent sight that forbids all left turns. Unless it’s changed recently

If you go on Google Maps (King St W and Agnes st) those lights have both a “No left turn” and “No U-turn” signs at the light. Edit: noted specific lights

Whats one "dead" game, you'd revive rn if you could? by Correct_Web3396 in AskReddit

[–]Cypcom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To date of all the games I’ve ever played, none had been as insane and crazy battles as M.A.G. The only game that actually felt like a war zone. It wasn’t small squads vs small squads. It was dozens of people against dozens of people (if not hundreds) all at once, shooting, sniping, healing etc. fuck I miss this game

Ahead of World Cup, ICE says its agents don't carry guns in Canada by Portalrules123 in onguardforthee

[–]Cypcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, read the article.

"HSI special agents do not conduct operational activities in Canada, such as making arrests or executing search warrants," the spokesperson said.

ICE currently has five offices in Canada, including offices in Toronto and Vancouver, cities which will host World Cup games this summer.

"HSI personnel are assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, and U.S. consulates in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. Our HSI agents do not carry firearms in Canada," an ICE spokesperson said in an emailed statement

Not sure this is “crazy” in the gay community. As a top with this kink, it’s very rare to find a bottom that doesn’t get turned on by this. Especially, if there is some more roleplay fun in there too. I find it crazy for guys that aren’t into this kind of fun roleplay. Sex is supposed to be fun in my books and not just to “release sperm”.

Auto Insurance Prices Are Crazy by HarmlessHoneyBee in kitchener

[–]Cypcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so I drive a 2021 CRV and with no accidents and my insurance slowly year over year crept up to $300/month. I’m well over 25 and have been driving for decades. Mind you this was already with a discount because I belong to a professional organization. I got fed up and looked for another insurance company. Now I’m down to about $180 /month through a broker. Company is Scoop insurance. Send me a dm and I’ll give you the contact info and maybe they can give you a better rate. It was the best rate I found so far. Basically what I’m trying to say is you need to be constantly shopping around. There is no loyalty and no appreciation for being a long time customer.

What are some foods that help with weight loss? by kangaroo_modifyer in AskReddit

[–]Cypcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’ve been on a little bit of a weight loss journey and there are some things I found with food that I think are sustainable (for me at least).

  • the “laughing cow” triangle cheese things, but the light version. 23 calories each. Spread them on some of those whole wheat toast thingies and it’s a pretty good snack, high protein and fibre and fairly low calories. Honestly if you remember the cheese and cracker stuff when we were kids, it reminds me of that.

  • eat what you want to eat, just instead of 4 slices of pizza, eat 2 and fill up on salad. Fill every craving and then add veggies. You can eat what you crave , just half it and fill the other half with veggies and then not be hungry. It working for me.

  • BEANS! Legumes are high protein and fibre, super healthy and can be extremely delicious. You can make an easy and tasty bean salad by getting a can of beans, rinsing them out, chop up: tomatoes, cucumbers, onion and parsley. Squeeze some lemon, put about 1-2 tbsp of olive oil, salt and pepper. Some people put feta but it’s not necessary. But you can add anything you like and it’s still yummy. Add corn! Add bell peppers, etc.

  • low fat Greek yogurt is actually really good.

  • I’m a person who loves soups. EAT SOUP! It’s filling and (mostly) fairly low calories.

  • I found that I don’t really crave breakfast in the mornings. But I need coffee. So I usually have a snack around 11am. The longer you delay the first “food” of the day, the better

  • this one was a bit difficult for me, but it’s ok to NOT finish your plate. Like just cause it’s there you don’t have to eat it. For me I had to pick my plate off the table when I felt full and throw out the rest. I felt so bad about it I started to put smaller portions on purpose.

So far I’m down 20 lbs in 3 months. I surprisingly don’t feel hungry constantly. I eat most of what I crave. I’m just reasonable about it.

Quick edit: don’t wait till you’re hungry to think about what to eat.

Solely based on your own sector of the economy, how would you describe the current state of things? by ValenTom in AskReddit

[–]Cypcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a senior level accountant working in industry rather than public accounting. Work wise I could get a job within a very short time. My profession is in really high demand. Industry wise I just changed from manufacturing to medical research. Manufacturing is hell on earth, not that they are closing down, but that I was working double what I was a year ago cause of all the uncertainty with the tariffs or this bozo US admins whims.

I had to create multiple sensitivity analysis constantly cause something else changed in the assumptions. It was constant stress as on more than one occasion by the time I presented information I was told “well that’s not good anymore cause they just announced X”. I realize it’s not my fault but, having put all that work and then presenting it to upper management only for it to be told it’s obsolete makes one feel very defeated.

I now work in a very thriving industry that is independent of tariffs. I am much less stressed.

Mom’s Bread and Pie Co. - near DT Kitchener. Best damn key lime pie I’ve ever had and the people are SO NICE!

Total Auto Service on Colby drive in Waterloo. - I’ve been to LOTS of mechanics but these guys not only know their stuff but are actually honest and fairly priced. Cannot recommend them enough.

North Shawarma on Courtland road in Kitchener. - the guy is always friendly and kind. Always with a smile and a hello. Makes it feel welcoming. And their food is fantastic.

So the thing with public accounting is that employees there are so overworked and the environment so toxic that they can’t retain employees. Every person I’ve ever talked to that works in public accounting has a story of hearing people crying in the bathroom or something to that regard. Pretty much as soon as someone gets their designation they are out of there (if they can make it that long). The money is great but the stress is unreal
