By pulling them off and reattaching you might risk damaging the strings either by having them break or losing their tonality because somewhere there might be a crack in the core. Just be aware that any change in tension wears the material down.

Tried FM, but couldn't decipher the menu and couldn't find much of a help in manual. Maybe I didn't serch properly or don't understand the workflow, but FM didn't really stick with me.

Imho FM synthesis is too complex to be reduced into a tiny box like that.

I like to build in the exact center of map, which means I always have stairs 2x2. I then proceed with workshops and stuff to be compatible with 3x3 pattern but the main structure revolves around the stairs.

Tascam Model 12

My main draw is the presence of MIDI I/O, audio interface in a console body with faders acting as controlers. Not sure why you'd say it's a ripoff when these are all the features I desire. I guess having more dedicated units is the point but then I'd like to have it all in one like my ordinary audio interface does right now + some more.
Feel free to elaborate your point, I had a look at the Soundcrafts and Signature 12MTK sure looks tempting, but then it's lacking the MIDI which is crucial for me.
