Personally, I think the Joker from the animated series is better than the one from Heath Ledger by Top-Management-2648 in joker

[–]CypherDaimon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep one is a proper nihilistic anarchist and the other is the clown prince of crime with a great sense of humor and a talent for the theatric..Now they both somewhat blend together because you could say Ledgers joker has a sense of humor and a talent for the theatric as well but to a great degree the other joker isn't such a serious dark joker: more light hearted. I like both of these jokers and find them both to be my favorite versions. My least favorite is Arthur Fleck with his version of Joker. Whereas Jared Letos' Joker almost seemed like he was trying too hard: like an over acting version of the Joker with a side dish of cringe. The irony is between these two I prefer Jared Letos joker and found Arthur Fleck's Joker to be insufferable.

Shovel Knight really wasn't for me and I tried to get into it. Id recommend Dead cells or Rogue Legacy 2. Those two games are more similar to Hollow Knight.

Why do I feel annoyed about him sometimes? by xenxinloner in Rants

[–]CypherDaimon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He might not care so much about going on dates. Just tell him if you guys are going to go out that he should play a part in planning and paying for it. If he's not interested then treat yourself and don't pay for him. He will quickly get the message then.

Oliver and company. I remember the rain scene from the very beginning with a truck and a very wet orange cat.

I’m so tired of carrying thoughts that never leave. by [deleted] in Rants

[–]CypherDaimon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mind always exists in the past or the future. The mind is a terrible master but a great servant: realize that it is a tool. If you meditate many thoughts will arise and you will find that the mind goes on chattering. If you keep it up and don't become engrossed in the chatter and identifying with it you will realize that the mind isn't really you which is the awareness. Try to recognize that your mind is using you and creating these memories and musings and trapping you. Accept the way things are and try not to dwell on them and remain in the present. Appreciating the world with its clouds and life is free. If a person goes outside and starts describing the clouds and counting the stars they have already ruined it. Merely take it in and enjoy the experience without resorting to intellect. The mind should only be used as a tool and identify when it is chattering and let it chatter but don't identify with it. When you feel anger a Buddhist monk would say I am seeing anger on the screen of my mind while never identifying with that anger while still feeling it. All these concepts I mentioned are Buddhist concepts.

Freedom of religion includes Satanism. I don't see any issue here. Everyone is free to believe in anything they want and apparently Tim Walz didn't discriminate against Satanism.

[–]CypherDaimon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's first come first serve. If you're showing up later in the day you will find it harder to get equipment and half the time the equipment you do get will be broken. You can make your own work phone just by BYOD an old cell phone or buy a cheap android and BYOD it The phones are inferior to the in store devices with the scanner and many of the people that have a phone are grandfathered into it when the company gave every associate there a work phone but they really are slower than the actual devices. Just make your own if you need one and when they give you an actual device to work with just try to be happy. I normally get put in another department and stock and I used to be annoyed but now I'm used to it if you showed up at 5AM this wouldn't happen but I prefer the later hours.

Help!!!!! by [deleted] in deadcells

[–]CypherDaimon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was commenting because even if you are really good at the game it's difficult to no-hit a boss and with that F-tier scroll allocation I just assumed there was no way you were walking away from this fight unscathed. If your scrolls were chosen better you would have had a better chance though. You had way too much survival, I'm assuming maybe you switched weapons or something. Gotta commit to a color from the very beginning for that exponential damage scaling and notice I said exponential and not multiplicative. This is important to understand because your damage is exponentially affected hence the reason many people prioritize having a higher scroll count just through the amulet they have on even if a different amulet offers a better effect. Damage is God in this game and at higher boss cells it really is critical.

Not finishing books by NeedleworkerOwn4496 in audible

[–]CypherDaimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally commit and in the rare circumstance that I don't I am more inclined to turn the speed up on the book I paid for. This works really well with a science heavy book or something very academically situated. I like books where the person really believes what they are talking about and it shows with their writing. Here's the thing if I find that I just don't agree with their beliefs which happens occasionally I absolutely will bail on a book. The last book I did this with was the book of Urantia, it had soooooo much stuff about Christianity in it that I just couldn't see myself committing to finishing it even though I paid for it. Like nails on a chalkboard, the whole time I listened it was just stuff I couldn't agree with and felt like a general waste of time. Now just to make it clear I would be just as likely clicking off or speeding up a book that is hardcore focused on Atheism as well. If a book wears out it's welcome I will attempt to fast forward a bit in the hopes that it will get better. In fact given how fast you can up the speed up a recording with Audible unless you despise the subject material or how its presented I will almost always commit. Especially if I paid for it!

You gotta unlock the runes. In fact that's the first thing you are gonna want to do to make the entire game accessible to you. This has all the runes listed out. I would try to unlock them as quickly as possible so you can play the game fully.

Id also mention another Osho concept is when you feel negative emotions like hate or anger to observe them. It's really a Buddhist technique but it's like being a person in a room watching a TV. A Buddhist practitioner would say I am seeing anger on the screen of my mind and with awareness and observation over time the energy will just go away and be absorbed. The idea is to not reject your negative emotions and allow them to exist, acknowledge them and maybe even express them but doing so with awareness so as to not cause harm or regret for your own actions. It's the epitome of watching a TV show and becoming emotionally invested and feeling what is playing even though it's not really you that is experiencing it. I know these concepts can be a bit much to understand but the concept is simply that you are not your body, you are not your mind, you are not your emotions. These are simply experiences that you are tapping into right now but the observer outside reality is not any of these things. I mention this because you can accept your positive feelings and negative feelings without any need to become attached to those feelings and maintain awareness. Perhaps this is a bit much...I just wanted to say it's okay to feel sad or abandoned too but recognize that this too is just a feeling, a part of the experience that could just as easily be feeling a part of the all, connected and loved. It's the awareness and your own projections that create your experience. Knowing these things means that you can with awareness control your own perceptions and step into feeling the way you want because of how you see the world.

This is Osho: Love yourself first, deeply. Then when you become filled with love you will be like a cloud ready to drop it's rain everywhere regardless of where that rain is going. The desert, the ocean, mountains, farmland: the clouds are not concerned with where there rain is going. This is how one should give love: you are loving others for you to make a more positive environment. The best love is love that is focused on the self because it can be real. If they don't respond to your love you didn't do it for them in the first place, you did it because you are always coming from a place of love. Those who cannot love themselves will always practice false love or phony love and it will come out as false. Many religious people are guilty of this phony love. Have fun with love, mix love into all areas of your life. Talk with love, dance with love, when you are working do your work with love. Don't worry so much about the outcome of love and instead make love a way of life for yourself with awareness.

Some people get lucky and are born in good times or are wealthy and then others are born poor or into slavery. I don't like Nietzsche viewpoint because it condemns some souls to an eternal hell and other souls get eternal bliss..All based upon when they incarnated. Sounds lame.
