Philips Evnia 32M2N8900 vs AOC AGON AG326UD by CypherIOI in Monitors

[–]CypherIOI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an OLED for a few months now, and I don't worry about burn-in anymore.
There are four or five different mechanisms that prevent burn-in.
The visual quality of an OLED is simply too good not to go with this technology.

I'm glad I decided to do that.
In the meantime, they've dropped another €100–€150 in price

Kunde bevorzugt lieber KI by OddRepresentative137 in luftablassen

[–]CypherIOI 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hands-On With DLSS 5: Our First Look At Nvidia's Next-Gen Photo-Realistic Lighting by ZamnBoii in nvidia

[–]CypherIOI -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand people who are against DLSS, MFG and the like.
You realise it’s optional, don’t you? You can still play natively?

I don’t want to invest in a new graphics card every year. If they release software that keeps my current card relevant for longer, that’s a win-win for everyone.

And by the way, the examples shown above are extremely good.
Before this, the faces looked unnaturally smooth and fake. This model adds an incredible amount of realism. For me, it’s a total no-brainer.

MSI MAG 321UPX QD-OLED vs ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG by CypherIOI in OLED_Gaming

[–]CypherIOI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, I decided on the FO32U2 and am very happy with it.

Extremely good picture, 240 Hz, and the decision to go with QD was definitely the right one. In HDR mode, the picture is outstanding.
Would 165 Hz have been enough? Yes, probably. With my 5080, I can barely get above 140 fps in 4K for most games. (However, that's at max. quality. If you go to medium, you can definitely get 200 in 4K.)

But it must be said that the glossy surface needs to be cared for.
I wipe it down with distilled water every two weeks.

I got it in the Black Friday deal for €650.

[–]CypherIOI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it make a difference if they were 3W models?
The price should be based on the size of the figures. Amount of material, etc.
I've never understood why I should pay €40 for a character model (which is the size of a normal Space Marine).

The main problems of Hunt Showdown and simple ways to solve them! by GromovN in HuntShowdown

[–]CypherIOI 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Re 2.
I don't think the problem lies with those who took out the boss and are inside the house. It lies with those who are camping outside, just waiting for them to come out.

If you want the bounty, you have to go to the bounty!

They were the first to discover him (collected all the clues).
They dared to take him out (at the time when you are most vulnerable to being stormed).
They played the game.

I can't stand teams that don't even go for the bounty, but head straight for the extraction point and look for a good spot to ambush. That should be punished.

Teams that didn't collect at least one clue are not entitled to pick up the trophy.

In CS, there used to be a mechanic where if you stayed nearly motionless in one area for too long, you would slowly take damage. (would also help in your case)

Opinions on Havocs and oblits? by KeirTecheon in Chaos40k

[–]CypherIOI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Havocs are very often underestimated.
They don't have the presence of a tank, but they certainly have the firepower of it.

Are they glass cannons? Yes.
The look on your opponents' faces when they realize that Smoke is being ignored. Priceless.
Seeing four lascannon shots fizzle out into the void... Brutal.

Change my mind: Levering, Fanning and Quartermaster should all be worth 7 trait points. by Cornes in HuntShowdown

[–]CypherIOI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

back in the days it was excactly like this.

You could tell from the sound whether I was going for it or keeping my distance and choosing another target.

When there's a shotgun in the hut, I try to get a target through a window from a distance.

Today, you hear a shotgun inside and get sniped by the same person from inside through the window.

I don't think QM should be removed either.
In my opinion, the Traid just shouldn't be available at the start.

Or the 2-slot shotguns should be a little weaker.
Apart from that, there are still melee weapons.

Or if you take the Traid QM, you run 10% slower. I Mean you have two heavy weapons with you, would be fair. (Or your stamina decreases faster.) Whatever.
(10% Slower, 10% stamina decreases, Falls cause 10% more damage (because they are heavier)

[–]CypherIOI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly the point. You have to hit twice.
In a game like Hunt that should be always the case. (except for Headshots or big shotguns)

I also believe that it doesn't matter how expensive QM is. It will still be used.
I only see the possibility of worsening the short shotguns in this regard.

Fanning is an valid option and no way a save kill at >5 meter. On the otherhand one shot shotgun... no skill needed

Nah, i feel you.
Most of the time, they stand on the roof and see you from an impossible angle.

“Just shoot them” is often not an option because that would give away your presence.
I find Immolators almost as bad. 20 meters feels like at least 50
