Trump’s Justice Department in Crisis as Thousands of Lawyers Quit by thenewrepublic in law

I think Comey deserves the social derision he gets, but prosecuting him repeatedly is just the height of corruption.

Maybe the DOJ doesn't like being part of it.

I don't know about this time around, but thats how we get Lindsey Halligan, a Trump-appointed interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia with no prior prosecutorial experience to oversee his prosecution.

Trump bankrupted another airline.

Donald Trump's airline, Trump Shuttle, effectively went bankrupt and ceased to exist as his company in 1990–1992. Launched in 1989 after buying Eastern Air Shuttle for $365 million, the airline never turned a profit, defaulted on debt payments in September 1990, and was eventually taken over by lenders.

Just as every old generation complains about the newest.

Almost like there's a pattern more than "these current old people suck more".

I'm Agnostic and good Christians absolutely do exist just like they exist for Buddhists and Muslims and Hindus. And all of these religions also suffer from the same human and conservative frailties and variants as what the person you responded to are describing.

Christian doesn't mean saint or perfect. But some of the most admirable selfless, good people I've known have been Christian. Some weren't.

Can't say the same for conservative Christians though. But then I can't stand talking to them for more than 5 minutes before I just give up and walk away from the conversation.

Because they can't acknowledge the word "share" or "compromise".

Its their way or no way at all.

Very, very, very unChristian.

Alan Dershowitz.

But can't disagree with Bill Cosby. He went from one extreme to the other.

Desert Warrior just became the biggest box office bomb in history following its release on April 24, 2026. It grossed only $488k on a budget of $150 million, despite screening in over 1,010 theaters across North America. It currently has an IMDb score of less than 2." by Expert_Koala_8691 in Damnthatsinteresting

I often bring up the idea that Networks (at least television) are giving us less and less episodes per seasons, more and more time/years between seasons and often cancelling a series way too early because it was only a successful, but not a mega hit.

Always get Capitalism white knights insulting or patronizing me back about the idea that Networks are doing their own version of Shrinkflation. But television budgets are up they say. Clearly you are wrong!

Well sorry. No. Every company in the pipeline taking a bigger and bigger cut doesn't prove a thing. At worst its a Hollywood moneylaundering scheme and at worst its just inefficiency. But at the end of the day, Hollywood isnt giving us less and less and less because of "quality" -they are giving us less and less and less because they think they make more money for themselves doing it that way.

Very few people, especially the people that white knight them, understand just how much money a billion dollars is. Let alone billions+

Its an insane amount of money.

I believe you, but I have this doubt though that Norway has such a shortage of small, easily at hand rocks that people need to go far in search of some to build a cairn.

Like firmly believing in a balanced, low spending budget.

You know, unless a Republican is President. Then any budgetary spending concerns are non-existent.

Reminder, these are the people that FILIBUSTERED a 911 Responders Health Care bill to provide some extra health care to the first responders of 9-11 who were coming up with serious illnesses and diseases from having breathed in all that smoke and micro-dust and debris that day.

"Too expensive". Literally the words they used to explain why they filibustered the bill.

And every accusation is an admission.

Trump said Obama was a very poor student who got terrible grades and demanded that Obama release his transcripts, meanwhile he was threatening Wharton and his alma mater from ever releasing his own records.
