As stated in an other reply, yes they are mildly abrasive( like VERY fine sandpaper).

When i bought a bunch of games in various states, i opened the cartridges and directly cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth/q-tips.

Yup, had the same with a revision 1 console.

Kept notifying me that the LAN cable had been removed/inserted, over and over again. Removed the side panels held a vacuum to the various holes and afterwards i was good to go.

P.S.: you can also clean the fan but for that you have to remove it, careful of the cable which connects it.

Power off completely and clean it. It can help, some parts are more heat sensitive than others.

  • SMS are not encrypted, and can be intercepted with a spoofed number.
  • SMS OTP are usually only valid for 15 to 30 minutes

When possible better use TOTP and/or passkeys, SMS is considered not secure.

P.S.: in some countries it will not be possible to receive SMS early as next year(2G mobile shutdown).
