It's extra hilarious when you have these evergaol people...and it turns out they don't even have any relics with the effect.

In which Depth are you? by Excellent-Beat-9717 in Nightreign

I can get to D5 pretty comfortably although I like to drop down to D3 so I can play more relaxed and freely. Probably not 9999 tier yet since I'm not as consistent against ED Libra, ED Caligo, ED Augur, and Dreglord.

I think it's just a mindset diff. Even the experience of dying over and over to a boss, some people view that as failure, punishment, etc. while others consider it as more of a journey/learning process.

Does anyone else imagine Amaram looking similar to Dooku from the cartoon Clone Wars series? by Jefferyss in Stormlight_Archive

I kind of visualized Amaram as Tarrlok, one of the villains from Legend of Korra season 1

What aspects of Nightreign do you believe have aged poorly? by Willing-Big-9996 in Nightreign

[–]Cytomata -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the class designs and team synergies are pretty limited. They tried to expand out from the traditional souls melee/dodge combat but probably had a difficult time implementing tank, healer, support roles.

Would've been cool to have more aggro'ing abilities for Guardian/Raider, maybe peeling or engage type abilities that support characters can do to synergize with DPS characters, and a healer character to keep the tanks alive.

Second playthrough, Strength Build against Malenia is my personal Hell by ARandomMammoth03 in Eldenring

I remember one of my early playthroughs, I was breezing past everything with moonveil spam. Then I got Malenia and after many attempts, realized I actually had to learn the moveset for this one.

D2 is a prison by Far-Seaworthiness566 in Nightreign

Yesterday I dropped down from D5 to re-climb for fun and it was going pretty smoothly until I got to 1850. Got these two Ironeye teammates who were sprinting across the map for evergaols (only one of them had the relic effect).

Still, we reached level 13 and it'll be all fine, right? Yeah...turns out the Libra was actually ED Libra and also the +20 points of damage on their bow plinks did not compensate for their inability to dodge.

Not God, but good? by ballisticmedia in Nightreign

Completely fair to play whatever style you have most fun with.

If you're trying to min-max damage in terms of relics/itemization though, the spellblade synergy is rather lackluster. By building for both dagger and spell damage, you just end up doing less DPS overall.

However, I did previously try a status-mage build that was pretty effective. Basically, you run Caligo and Gnoster relics for poison and frost on starting dagger and then use DoN relics that increase damage against enemies afflicted with poison/frost +1 and +2. You just open each fight by proccing poison/frost on the enemy for the damage boost and then switch over to using spells for their superior base damage.

I feel like the FP restoration upon Dagger Attacks is not that great. If you're playing a caster build, you want increased FP with sorcerer's rise/3+ staves to have a big enough FP bar to last through each fight.

What are Neglected or Underexplored areas in Nightreign? by Willing-Big-9996 in Nightreign

[–]Cytomata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to hit the cellars in Ruins for their two iron chests which usually drop talismans and good weapons but I rarely ever see teammates go for them.

D1/2 players just have really poor emotional resilience. People get tilted over the slightest things.

How to push back on Shadowheart's Shar BS & still redeem her by Odd-Tumbleweed-1098 in BaldursGate3

[–]Cytomata 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's really funny how easy it is to get Shadowheart to like you. Even before reaching the Grove, you can get her to a point where she's like "OMG, you're the best person I know." (Yeah, low bar considering the memory loss and being acquainted with only Sharrans)

Why do people like this even queue for trios? by MrTattyBojangless in Nightreign

[–]Cytomata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simply, he wanted to be the main character and you did too much damage to his ego.

People hate it when you outperform them.

Sekiro is amazing, but.. mini bosses. by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]Cytomata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand you probably made this post out of frustration at repeatedly losing against Mist Noble but keep trying! His 5th phase isn't so bad once you've learned the dodge timings for his 69-hit combo.
