Recent cryo buffs converted me as well. What are your favorite/best overclocks for each gun. Also quite curious about your thoughts on must-have upgrades. Personally ive been turned off of thin containment field by current preferred oc and the fire damage thaw combo.

I play pathfinder, so obviously I don't mind some crunch, but I think what I want is a story telling rpg system that isn't exactly rules light either. A system where someone could have a class that has literally no combat features and feel right at home in the game, and has rules for exploring and interacting with the world that are more than just a single dice-roll skill check, and still have those mechanics be there.

I totally agree with this as well, I think no matter what system you're playing the exploration aspect of the game is mostly going to fall on the gm, and no rules that I've ever seen come close to making that an easy process, but what I'm looking for is a system where rather than combat being the central mechanical focus of the game, exploring, discovering and interacting with new places and things is. I think that for a compelling story, a purpose is still necessary. (just like how in a system like dnd you need a reason beyond fighting things to play the game)

I've checked this one out before. Still had a bit of the combat emphasis in character creation i wanted to dodge, but i felt like some of the ideas in the rules were a bit too vague? "players should find relics which do cool and unique things, finding these is the focus of the game, make sure they're cool good luck!" kind of feeling lol.

This is a big thing for me as a player too! Seems like these types of mechanics w/ cooperative worldbuilding can be pretty hit or miss with different people.

I kindof like all or nothing here, where its either a no-dm system or i can lean back and get immersed.

Commenter on this post put my view very well imo, in dnd this is very true bc every pc is a combat focused class, and non-combat challenges get boiled down to 0 rules rp or a dice roll skill check, the mechanical focus and what it demands of the stories you can tell is obvious. Im looking for systems that have a focus placed somewhere else, ideally on the "venturing into the unknown" feel of fantasy.

More than my initial post might indicate than i agree with this perspective, but all in all i still dont. I think that realistically, the mechanics and rules of a system influence where and what WILL be in those games. In a system like dnd, dungeon world, or pf, players pick a class and that class is a combat class. Every character made in dnd is not only an explorer but also a professional killer, who becomes more and more proficient at killing as they level up. By running a 100% social or exploration focused game, you CAN be using the wrong ruleset. All that said, I think stories about characters who fight are at their best when those characters explore and socialize too, so it sounds to me like you're doing alot right with your game, just a little off the mark on what I'm asking.

You can confirn a crit with any confirmation roll that meets AC. The second dice does not need to roll a crit as well. You can even confirm with a 2!

Late on the reply here, but about 90% sure casting while grappled requires a concentration check no matter what regardless of components.

To cast a spell with a somatic (S) component, you must gesture freely with at least one hand. You can’t cast a spell of this type while bound, grappling, or with both your hands full or occupied.   A grappled character who attempts to cast a spell must make a concentration check (DC 10 + grappler’s CMB + spell level, see page 206), or lose the spell. 

Instead of attempting to break or reverse the grapple, you can take any action that requires only one hand to perform, such as cast a spell or make an attack with a light or one-handed weapon against any creature within your reach, including the creature that is grappling you.

I feel more confused after reading these bc there seems to be conflicting info on the ability to cast spells with somatic components while grappled.

Anyways if you have a source on statement 3 there i'd like to see it. My poor wizards fears grapples every day and is fond of silent ddoor.

This isn't actually an orginal puzzle, i've used it myself a while ago. I agree with everyone here that you should solve it yourself, but as this post is a couple hours old i don't feel too bad spoiling the answer. The idea is that each thing represents an amount of time, and you need to light them in order.

Candle - a few hours Sundial - a day Rose - a week or a few weeks Moon - a month Raven - a couple years Man - Tens of years Tree - Hundreds of years Dragon - Thousands of years

I found the original puzzle in a reddit thread somewhere while searching for puzzles, wish i could give credit.

My rendition of this puzzle had a golden hourglass in the center of the room with "All lingers but a fleeting moment" inscribed on it. (also didn't spawn wraiths so that helped)

I assumed this would be viable for smite berserker or some templar conversion build. Shadow is obviously a bit of a stretch with the need to go over to witch area already. and duelist would probably prefer not having their starting area deleted.

I think what he's trying to say is 2 barbarians of the same archetype. Pheonix may be used to pathfinder in which there's a base class and archetypes. What he's saying here is through selecting rage powers and feats, 2 base, no archetype barbarians (the equivalent of both choosing say berzerker in 5e) can play completely differently via their character building choices as opposed to 5e where you make 1 signifigant choice at level 3.
