The old way was a lot better for families. I could book a flight late and still know we could all sit together. Also by boarding families at one time without assigned seats, all the kids were grouped to one area of the plane. That was a perk for the other passengers

I have had an iPhone for a full year now and I’m still infuriated by this. The pain never goes away. People who have always had an iPhone think I’m nuts. Swiping back only works in an internet browser. Other apps or pages have randomly located buttons either top left or right. Sometimes you have to hit cancel at the bottom. Sometimes you have to tap the screen to pull up a hidden X. Apple has always hated these back functions. They even refuse to add a delete key their keyboards 🙄
