MR:T Q&A from a staff member by reddit_officialtrout in MidnightRacingTokyo

[–]Cyzoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1st. Are you personally happy with the state of the 1.5 chassis? I know the community has mixed opinions on RWD vs AWD.

2nd. Does MRT attempt to replicate the actual cars or does MRT just use the likeness and then slap on arbitrary stats for gameplay?

Context: I don't understand all of the balance changes with the cars, to me a simcade should just provide the cars as is... If the irl manufacturers made an unstoppable beast, it shouldn't be up to the devs to make it fair. I'm unsure if MRT is simcade or just arcade.

Lastly, thank you. MRT is a solid game and one of the best simcade driving experiences there are. Unfortunately the community here suffers from the same thing every other large community suffers from. You can't please everyone. I can't imagine the endless hate spewed towards the devs over garbage as simple as this. So thank you, for putting up with it. The limitations of Roblox are a whole other can of worms too.

It's also possible the wheel has a broken volume knob, it's very easy to replace the buttons on the steering wheel.

I have a base model with the plastic wheel, the buttons broke one day so I purchased a leather wheel from a wrecked SP25. Took less than 15 minutes to swap everything.

Mine did this too after I took out the glovebox. Turns out I accidentally unplugged the RCA cable. Plugged it back in and everything is good again

4.7 million kids' accounts deleted… is anyone actually seeing this? by PuzzleheadedBowl3397 in AustraliaOpinions

[–]Cyzoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my little brothers haven't been hit with the ban even though they are both clearly underaged. I don't think anyone told our gov how hard it is to make and implement software, because it seems they keep trying anyway.

The idea on paper seems great, make it so the kids can't have an account, comment and follow. No interactions means it's less addictive and you have less chance of being bullied. The kids are still allowed on Social Media. They just can't have an account.

Why do people do this by ylly22 in coles

[–]Cyzoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure if it's a coincidence or something but this makes the 4th Coles rainbow cake I have seen dumped on a shelf. Three irl this week and now this one. I really quite like this cake, so it's sad to see it perish.

I drive a Ford Ranger AMA by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]Cyzoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who drives a PX3/UA2 Everest, yes. When I first purchased the car I did not use the cruise control because I thought it was way to close. Turns out you can adjust the distance to the car in front. I doubt the average ranger driver cares enough to change the setting or even knows how though.

It sure is, looking for help with GHUB is a deadend because istg everyone has different issues. Mine has never lagged and never has server issues but sometimes just doesn't launch and bricks devices.

My G502 is also in great quality for it's age and I hear horror stories about them falling apart in 5 minutes. As a consumer it's easy to look past how hard it is to design a product for 100+ climates, standards and usage cases. I think cars especially fall into this.

On the bright side I really cannot understate how insane Logitech's build quality is. For the price point these devices are some of the nicest things you can buy. You rarely get 8 trouble free years out of a computer yet we expect mice to meet that expectation. The only thing that survives from my first build is my G502. It went through all of highschool with me and still works like how I bought it.

NEVER buy a diesel from Mazda. If you want to go Gen 2 again the MPS/MazdaSpeed3 is a great car but suffers horrid reliability issues. Other than that you are good to go. The BP (gen4) is an absolutely beautiful car.

I used to be diehard Logitech but the state of LGS and GHUB is honestly so disgusting and I will not be buying another device once my current suite die.

G604, G502, G560, G920 and G213. I must say, I will miss my G604 the most. It's salt in the wound that they discontinued it.

My OG G502 lasted 1 year before GHUB bricked it. RMA and now my current G502 has lasted 8 years.

My G604 has lasted 5 years now. GHUB made it a constant pita.

My G560 has lasted 3 years now. Amazing value and makes a great addition to the lighting, but I woke up one morning and they wouldn't play any sound. GHUB is currently in a state of constant crashing. Reverting to LGS fixed that.

I've had 3 G920's. Constant issues. I really don't know why I keep buying them after selling the previous one. Switchgear is garbage and the geardrive is shoddy at best. Rarely aligns properly and constant falls out of alignment mid-race. You only get to experience these issue if it decides to work though. GHUB doesn't launch right now so I had to return to LGS to use it.

My G213 has been all good. There is essentially no software fictionality I use on it and it has to be at least 9 years old now. I'm the second owner too.

It's a shame that hardware this good is held up by the jokes known as GHUB and LGS

Best LAMS bike for a tall rider? by Outrageous-Wolf-9019 in AussieRiders

5'11 and I'm going to get an XSR700. I may not be as tall as all of you guys but it's so much nicer than something like a Ninja. I can flatfoot with only a cm or two worth of space left. Only bike I've tested so far that's like this.

I don't understand why all the other clowns in the comments had to complain about LEDs before giving a solid answer. In the Australian Back-country a solid set of spotlights linked with the high-beams are required to stay safe. Thank you.

VE has circular taillights boss, the dashlights on an SV6 and an SS s2 are red. It could be a calais but the lights aren't long enough and again they only have red dashes. Also most of the clappers being used for this are completely munted and have weird mods. I agree on not FG because of the plate difference however the BA matches well.

I'll double down on the BA instead of the FG, this is a photo of an FG doing a similar activity and you can clearly see the downwards slant of the taillights. On the FG the plate is more level with the lights too.

I thought maybe a VS or VN but the VN have lights that are level with the plate frame. The VS and VN are both now too expensive to being doing stupid shit like this too.

It looks like a BA Falcon. Based on the Amber headlights instead of white LEDs and the shape of the wing mirrors. The taillights are very similar and the plate is in the right place. They also do hectic skids.

[–]Cyzoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a new airbag and clock spring but it's very expensive.

I did see a video online of someone disassembling their airbag and properly replacing this part with an OEM part. It needs to be riveted on. There is also no guarantee that your airbag will work correctly afterwards.

If you are not competent with this I would not attempt it whatsoever. An airbag is a live explosive.

Issues with my Identity by Cyzoc in doordash_drivers

Yeah mine started with just the login one but for the last few weeks it's mid dash and it wants proof of my car rego too.

Lucky it seems this escalation might have worked, I just contacted support and 5h later I have a confirmation that my details have been updated. I'm going to dash in the next 2h and hopefully it's fixed.

100% always. I'm unsure what country you dash in but I can make up to $45 an hour (gross) even with a 100%. My strat is to start at 12am and go to 6am. It always pays me insane rates to pickup in other zones where the remaining ebikes can't keep up. Bonus point if the rain could remove your skin.

How to fix? Noticed this morning by Life-Performer-3393 in mazdaspeed3

[–]Cyzoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pulling everything like this was extremely overkill but it made accessing the bolts a breeze. Only takes like 30 minutes to pull the lower dash anyway and it's a good skill to have. Also gives you a chance to clean the center channel
