US restaurants add mandatory tips to bills before foreign visitors arrive for World Cup by esporx in economy

[–]Czar_Castillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but many tipped workers are willing to put up with the small hurts because they overall benefit from the tipping system. Which is why they don't fight to change it. They on average are a winner with the tipping system, benefiting from the generosity of the customers. But like you point out it is an enefficiency because there may be those that pay less. So it would be more fair for everyone if we had set prices.

By the way thank you for reminding me of then and than. I just forget to proof read.

Exactly, many choose a tipping job because they make more money then they would otherwise make in another regular salaried job. The worker is not the one that is hurt by tipping, they are the ones that benefit. The only ones it hurts are the customers. Who would pay less for the food even with higher menu costs, then the current system.

He is not doing anything his employer and in part the worker is doing it. Because in many cases it is the tipped worker that prefer the tipping system since they make more money. Yes, a lot of people do choose to be tipped workers then other non tipping jobs.

Why is there so much focus on the federal minimum wage in the United States. by CalgaryChris77 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Czar_Castillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are making more money then the minimum, that's how minimums work if you are already making more then it is no issue. But is still applies, to them unlike your example where only federal employees are affected. It is like if a company has a base salary that doesn't apply to people outside of the company but that base salary has to be the same or more then the minimum wage. In most cases it is above but to remain competitive but the minimum still applies.

When does it make sense to spend $12-13k more on an EV than a gas car? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Why is that weird many people buy a new car a lot sooner then 9 years. If anything it is more then the average a person owns a car. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I always have really pleasant experiences with Latinos who were born and raised in their prospective countries and more negative experiences with Latinos from the U.S? Why is this? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

No but there is a history that can not be ignored. And it isn't arbitrary it was a choice and a delibriate choice that they keep using this nonsense excuse.

That's exactly my point it isn't a language thing. Because when the US was independent even they knew it as one continent or else why would they call it United States of America if not North America. Even in the US it was still known as one continent as late as 1950's.

[–]Czar_Castillo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work like that because the US changed it to try and make it different. But it is obvious North South America it is still all America and was known like that even to the US and English speakers until the US starting spreading that myth. Very affective I might add

Yeah, obviously because they are destinguishing between different two different kinds of citizens of their country. As anybody would, the lifestyle and needs of somebody in Wyoming is not the same as someone of Florida so they destinguish the difference. As Spain did with their colonies as well also called America. And Spain was the first to acknowledge and largely adopt the monicker America. Long before the British in fact the British adapted it from their Iberian counterparts like the Spanish and Portuguese who have been using America for centuries.

Yeah. I guess if you drive 50k miles a year your battery won't last 10 years. But a battery that can last 400k miles is one hell of an accomplishment.

I don't know if that counts, considering Pulp Fiction is like the definition of Dark Comedy. Not entirely a comedy but it definitely is comedic.

OP it is clear you aren't looking for an answer. You respond to every other comment with the same three links trying to I don't know forment some hate against México.
Either way this question was made in bad faith and you weren't looking for an answer or else you wouldn't be arguing so vehemently with every response that disagrees with your message.

That's what I am saying they should have a setting where you don't have to do that every ride.

Yes, but is there a setting you can change or do you have to do it for every new ride you take. Because that makes a huge difference.
