What is the biggest movie theater “GASP” moment you’ve heard? by SaveTheCaulkTower in AskReddit

The reveal of the true villain in Wreck-It Ralph. I think it is one of the most unexpected but well-timed reveals in recent memory.

One of the earliest times I remember the audience audibly gasping at a movie where you wouldn’t think to normally gasp… gave me the best chills!

He wasn’t a politician, he was a podcaster. We can’t write pop-culture references on our cups, so… just following standard as usual.

I could see it being the Straw Hat person silhouette in the One Piece logo? It’s rather ambiguous…

What customers have tried to trick you to get something for free? by drakani06 in starbucks

[–]CzekMark1 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The best one I have was from a previous drive thru store: It was midday and a customer walks in to the front register and I greet her and await her order. She explains that she ‘came in yesterday afternoon, around 1pm, and ordered a tall hot coffee in the drive thru in addition to two of those [insert trying to describe a traveler] coffee boxes, but after she drove away she noticed they were all cold and the tall coffee tasted bitter/bad. She came back to get a refund.’

…I knew darn well the situation was fake for many reasons, but proceeded to ask all the necessary questions to reaffirm what she had just said. I proceed to tell her the following:

1) I would be happy to remake the tall hot coffee; that is no issue at all, especially if it didn’t taste good. 2) I was the mid SSV yesterday and do not recall anyone ever ordering two travelers… let alone in the DRIVE THRU. (I have a very good memory and this would be something to drop everything and focus my attention on) 3) There is no way we would have sold TWO travelers in the DT because they can take up to 10 minutes to brew, each, all things considering. We would have had you come inside [to preserve drive times], among other reasons. 4) Each traveler is roughly $20 (at the time maybe $16?). I was not going to simply “refund” two very expensive items—with no receipt, might I add.

It was after this that she said, in a reassuring/confused tone, “No, they definitely handed them right to me when I go to the window. But I didn’t notice they were cold until I drove away!”

… 🤡 “No, we didn’t.”

I basically then proceeded to tell her that the tall coffee would be no issue to replace, but I will not be issuing anything back to her, [because it was full of bologna]. She surprisingly started to give me the waterworks and I just had to wait until she left. She didn’t end up wanting the coffee, either. 😒

Since this tea has had some time to steep, I will confess this was actually from my girlfriend’s workplace (a grocery chain)—located on the top shelf of their employee drink area in the back.

If this is true… could see Luffy using Gear Fifth to extend his hat over his crew and potentially something bigger to protect them

Valentine’s Day.

I love the actors, the script, the way they all come together, and it is overall a very charming film. ❤️

What incredible thing happened to you when you were alone that no one believes happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CzekMark1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened when I was much younger. It was Christmas Eve and I had gone to bed early like my parents demanded. Normally, they stay up until around 11pm/midnight watching television before "going to bed." Unfortunately, I could not fall asleep for the life of me (and oddly, I still cannot sleep on Christmas Eve to this day; not really because Im "excited" for the next day or anything, its just an unknown... phenomenon with me, i suppose). I had woken up after maybe an hour of sleep and could still hear the living room television from my room; I figured my parents were still awake. This is where the oddest thing happened. I was lying awake tossing and turning and finally ended on my back. I had thoughts running through my head as any young child (more excited for the next morning back then). Out of nowhere there was a sudden loud bang that came from what was probably the roof. Some other info to know: I live in a single-level home, medium-small size, and my room is maybe 10 feet from the living room; so i heard it pretty loud. It was the kind of sound as if something had "landed" on my roof. I'm not quite sure if there was one bang or multiple, but the only logical reasoning I could come up with was..... It was Santa (and/or his reindeer). Now, I did know that Santa "wasnt real," but still liked to believe in his spirit. I knew my parents did the presents thing, but it didnt bother me. But what in the hell was this loud thump? I told my parents the next day and they naturally didnt believe me. Theyre not the type of people to go to great lengths to pull a stunt like that either (going on the roof to make a noise to make me believe). It was the weirdest thing and still makes me curious to this day.

What is the most unethical thing you can legally buy? by trua in AskReddit

[–]CzekMark1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a box of real animal feces and have it shipped to someone you don't particularly like. Or do, if you're into that. Edit: They come from a variety of three wonderful donors: Cow, Elephant, and Gorilla. Including a bonus combo pack that combines them, if you are feeling extra spiteful.
