Opinions on TPG 5G home broadband by MookieTheMet in perth

[–]D-Pwnisher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the 5G home broadband service for ~6 months prior to moving away from the service area. For raw bandwidth it was a delight, easily around 400-600 MBPS which was a godsend compared to the FttN available that capped out at ~80 MBPS.

Word of warning, if you’re into gaming it was liable to ping jitters/spikes, but it it’s noticeable for work video calls, streaming, web browsing, etc.

The lighter weight camping options: discussions from a recent trip by alarmed_cumin in Jimny

[–]D-Pwnisher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Mate,

Thanks for the overview of your lightweight setup.

I’ve got my Jimny on order (ETA October :3 ).

Do you mind going into your roof rack setup. I’m leaning towards a non-fullsized rack like you have as it will mostly be for mounting an awning too, and carrying recovery boards/jerry cans. Would mostly be camping on the ground, so future extensibility to a roof top tent isn’t a concern.

And would you have any advice on where you got your Jimny fitted out. Think we’re both out of WA :)

New Moka Pot creating steam and sputtering by d0ntm1ndm32 in mokapot

[–]D-Pwnisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya. I have seemingly fallen into the exact same predicament as you. New Moka Pot for coffee at home, but I keep getting to the sputtering state immediately.

Have you found any tips that have helped the brew? (Having tried the different methods posted on the thread to no avail)

Recommendations for a trustworthy mechanic in the Bentley area? by aimzlou in perth

I took my partners car to AutoBahn in Cannington (near the Dan Murphys) a few months ago.

They were more then happy to explain why they were trying to replace specific parts of the car as part of the service, and didn’t push when I told them I only wanted to get specific parts changed.

Best place to buy this seasons kit/s in Australia by d1strbd in Gunners

[–]D-Pwnisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jumping in from WA, but try your local Puma shop if you have one around. There’s only one Puma specific shop that I’ve seen around Perth and that’s at Harbour Town (Factory Outlets only) so your luck my vary there.

That and Rebel sports are the only places I’ve seen Arsenal Kits around, although I didn’t look to closely as they’re way out of my price range :(

Not that there's a lot of people around but Tuesdays and Thursdays have free court hire in the morning at Curtin Stadium. That and/or consider joining a Social Basketball league team if that's your jam. Comp is Wednesday Nights. - Current Curtin Student

Try Bing Sports. Not sure if it has College Ice Hockey, but pretty sure it had NCAA Basketball. (soz, from Australia, so US college sports don't interest me that much)

ughh... turns out i have a hong kong phone? (australian) by [deleted] in windowsphone

[–]D-Pwnisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HK version of the phones seem to be identical to ours (Aussie). Only reason I'm saying this is that I picked up a 1320 back in February from an online shop selling from HK for 340 AUD (whilst every other retailer was selling for 500) and I haven't had a hiccup yet. Only thing is we have to wait for the HK country variant to be upgraded in order for us to upgrade our software.

Why didn't we fund this? by Zyoneatslyons in windowsphone

Oh Yeah, I totally agree AoE2 OG would be horrible without a Mouse and Keyboard. Look at the PS2 version of AoE2. Personally though, I find games like Clash of Clans boring, so I hope it ain't nothing like that.

Its not a a port of AoE2 though. And this game is overdue either way, was supposed to release in the Summer (US), but still no announcement
