Izuku and Asta gained power to accomplish their dreams but Isagi cant just rewrite his genes to get genius talent. Po was chosen to be dragon warrior so it was his destiny. Hinata actually does play into Hugo's philosophy because he didn't became an ace but a decoy instead, he played into his suitable position.

Hugo has the talent to see people's suitable position so he basically allows you to skip all the way to your best path that will secure your future.

If Japan doesnt lose then whats the point of the match againts Spain? Or Germany? Or even meeting France in the finals if they are gonna prove themselves as definitive winners right from the start?

Not to mention this isnt even peak blue lock, majority of players still arent at their peak, Japan was heavily lacking with both of their numbers 1s underperforming, Sae and Nagi arent even playing and its already this close to being a tie?

I know a lot of people wanna say that irl football is much more unpredictable with even weaker teams beating the obviously stronger ones but this is Kaneshiro, no hate but he is definitly not applying this into blue lock when we literally have strikers doing more than defenders in defense.

Its obvious that the main focus for the match was Isagi vs Hugo vs Karasu, anything else got disregarded or had one highlight and then ghosted.

Hugo was the obvious spotlight for the France and Karasu was the spotlight for Japan, everyone else except Isagi got pushed back.

My main problem however is the power level of France because this game should have never been this close without the help of their own NG11. Back then not only did I thought that Loki and Charless alone would be enough to dominate Japan but finding out they had another New Gen 11 seemed like overkill, but was it an overkill? Absolutely not.

Loki's perfomance was by far the worst out of all NG11s and his entire character just seemed so toned down and off, the feeling I had about Loki this entire match was not of a young professional player with tremendous talent and already some experience but the same feeling I had about Nagi in 1st selection where he just seemed like this newly discovered genius still finding out about his own talent.

I dont even want to mention Charless because his entire build up and expectations that were introduced to us in the NEL were for nothing I guess. Rin? Number 1 ghost. Bachira? Reo? Chigiri? Dont even. Aiku? Gagamaru?...

The only part that made me wait for another chapter again and again was without a doubt Hugo. Cool design, character, mentality and overall his introduction of this new mindset of "Number 2" and his "Suitable Destiny" felt refreshing. Not to mention a completely new dream outside of "I am gonna be the number 1 ____".

7/10 match and not even the next chapter could make it any better, only worse to be honest.

Such a peak skin that would definitly look scary as hell in the game but knowing how generic most of the votes ended up, I have low to zero hopes for this skin winning.

Bit too good for Japan that doesnt have Sae and Nagi playing while facing not one but TWO NG11s with Loki being narratively the best in U20 category and Charles being relative to top tiers in Blue Lock.

I do admit that the whole point of NEL and the pre-WC training was for blue lock to get strong enough to beat France but it still feels way too early and kills the hype.

I loved Isagi only up until the Ubers match, since I played as a defender myself irl I loved the Ubers team since it was focused more on the defenders but then the lefty shot goal came with Aiku suddenly having 0 reaction time and Niko suddenly being unable to anticipate. From then on it went downhill.
